If you’re looking for a quick, local breakfast this is your spot. It’s counter service where you order and they bring it to your table. The biscuit was light and fluffy. The sandwich, however, tasted like the eggs and sausage weren’t cooked fresh and it was lukewarm. The cheese wasn’t even melted. A little adjustment here and they would have a winner. Shredded hash browns were solid. Belgian Waffle was good not great and very expensive for what it is. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Don’t let the fact that it’s attached to a gas station scare you away.

Great breakfast. Had biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage. Really good, and a good portion. Big biscuits. Seen others plates and they looked good as well. Pancake, steak etc. Great staff. Not a big restaurant so seating is limited due to the quality I’d imagine. They were busy. On a Sunday morning. Plenty of parking. You could get an RV in easy. Have a drive thru as well.

Don’t let the outside fool you, the food and service are very good! You walk up to the counter order, and they bring the food right to your table. We only waited about five minutes before being served! The employees were by far the friendliest people ever. Made sure we had everything we needed. My 6 year old is a pancake lover and she said they were the best pancakes ever! Will be return for a quick, easy, breakfast!

Found this little gem on our last visit and glad we did. With a fast food type ordering and they bring it to your table. The food was way better than we had imagined. Large portions and fantastic options. We will definitely be returning here. Wonderful staff, very helpful, and friendly.

This place has the best biscuits and pancakes in town!! Mabel’s Kitchen is so much better than IHOP, or Waffle House! Do yourself a favor and stop in on your next visit to Cherokee, NC!

Gave great review initially due to Asst. Manager & tipped over 50%!! BUT when the donut holes were overcooked with NO sugar whatsoever on them the MANAGER made a bad call to NOT redo them at cost so won’t be back! It was a “to go” order so didn’t know til got to destination…called immediately & Asst. Mgr. offered a future comp but she said NO then waited on hold for order forever so just hung up. Lost my business and Others now due to that Poor judgement call. Sorry whoever owns it…get another Manager who cares about their reputation & customers …perhaps make the Asst. Mgr your Manager as he is awesome and cooks, takes orders, comes out to tables etc. I think you’ll have a lot more repeat& loyal customers too!

Avoided this restaurant since it was attached to a gas station but I shouldn’t have. Don’t be like me and let appearances fool you. Coffee strong enough to fuel any hike and biscuits better than your mom makes them. Best bang for your buck in Cherokee

The biscuits were hard as a rock. The gravy was burnt. The coffee was the price of Starbucks but tasted worse than day old gas station coffee. The eggs were a little worse than fast food restaurants make.
