Finally managed to come in while they were open and we’re not disappointed! The food came out piping hot, and the overall atmosphere was really homey, as if I was back home and asking my mom to cook me my favorite meal. The onion rings were fried excellent, and the fish and chips were great!

The food was excellent. My husband had Chicken fried steak, and it literally melted in your mouth it was so tender. I had the fried shrimp and onion rings absolutely delicious, not to greasy just perfectly cooked. The service was phenomenal. She was very attentive and quick returning with the items requested. My overall experience was terrific. Do not pass the little gem up. Well worth your while.

We stopped in for some breakfast with a large party and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and accommodated. It was breakfast time so we all got some great classic breakfast foods. The service was great and the food came out fast. It was delicious and so reasonably priced. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. This family diner comes highly recommended!

This place really delivers on quality, service and food portion size! It’s truly real home cooking. Prices are fair for what you get. This is are go to place when we’re in Yelm. Go try this hidden gem . You won’t be disappointed. (Ham steak is 1/4″thick).

I love a good diner. There’s something sublime about well prepared comfort food in a cozy setting and this place has both. The environment is cute and very inviting. The service was prompt and excellent. The food though, the food is what I care about the most and where they really shine. They have well put together flavors, good textures and abundant proportions. I tried the BBQ burger and my wife had the mushroom and swiss. Both were well made by and very tasty. I think I’ll have to come back in and try every burger on the menu at least once. Definitely will be recommending this spot to friends.

Excellent breakfast in a very friendly, warm atmosphere. Locals coming in to eat, laughing and smiling. We will return for sure. Food was excellent. Husband had chicken fried steak. I had Ma’s Scrambled. Coffee pots on table. Nice extra touch.

Went her recently on the recommendation of others. Service was very slow. Took us 45 min. to et our food. My wife wanted to order breakfast and was told they were not serving it anymore (it was about 11:30 am). then we saw two adjoining tables order breakfast. WHAT??? Wife’s cheeseburger was greasy and really upset her stomach. My meatloaf looked and tasted like ground beef lumped together with gravy and poor mashed potatoes. They were out of vegetables. I heard from other tables that they were out of a number of sides. . . we did see a sign that they needed a cook ASAP, so not sure who is cooking. Seems like very poor management. Waitress was nice but mostly ignored when they could have reassured us that our order was coming. (only about 8 tables). Nice little place, just very big disappointment. We probably wont be back.

A true gem. Best breakfast in Thurston county and I’m the self-proclaimed Queen of Breakfast!! I’ve had many meals from the breakfast menu and they are all consistently delicious. With an authentic “home cooked meal” vibe, Ma and Pa’s lives up to its name….a real piece of Americana!
