One of the best casual gems of Durham! Great service (but be prepared to wait for 20 minutes for your food).

KFC Wings is a must try! You can choose the non-spicy version – soy garlic, really delicious! The ramen and chicken sandwich was also okay. Jia jiang mian is a bit too salty.

If you get a chance go here! Food and service was above and beyond wonderful! Rookie, Dillon and Kaley went that extra mile to help us as the inside was full and there where 8 of us. Rookie the chef actually brought little tables and chairs to seat us which was super sweet and very cool! Anyway go here and the Ramon I would also give 5 stars! Thank you guys and gals at the M Kokko!

Another M restaurant at the top of its game! Absolutely loved the Curry Udon — so rich in flavor and the noodles were incredible! We also got the Raman (confession, I’m not a huge Raman fan); as Ramans go, this one was very good. My wife says it was one of the best she’s had! We actually shared the udon and Raman, which was a nice pairing. We also tried the buns as an appetizer and they were delicious!!! Very, very happy patrons who will be back!

The vegan options are delicious and definitely worth the price! I’ve had the Biang-biang noodles and the Japanese curry udon, both delicious and generous portions. It’s a very small place so it can be hard to get seated if it’s peak dinner time, a weekend, or if you have a party larger than 2. It’s worth the wait though!

Omg, I’m in love with their Ramen. Since moving from Austin, I didn’t think I’d find anything I loved as much as Ramen Tatsuya. The broth of their $17 Ramen is flavourful and creamy. The pork belly is juicy and delicious. My daughter loved the Jjijan Mian noodles. The rice of the Hainan chicken was amazing. The pork bao was delicious. We did not get to try the Biang Biang since it was ordered by mistake, but it looked delicious. Sadly, M Kokko is a 1.5 hr drive from our home in Winston-Salem, but I already know we will be making the drive back here again. Get there before 5 pm, when they open. They only have about 9 tables. They don’t take reservations. The food comes pretty quickly. If you don’t get one of the 9 tables, you’ll have to wait until someone leaves. It’s definitely worth the wait.

Heard great things about this place during a work trip. Honestly one of the best bowls of ramen I’ve ever had. The pork buns were also amazing and a perfect appetizer.

Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I typically don’t eat fried food but was told this sandwich was amazing and they weren’t lying! I ordered it “hot” and it was perfect. The sweet pickles were the perfect accompaniment . I also tried the braised pork belly buns and they too were fantastic. Came with a nice little side salad that was very fresh and tasty. This place rocks!
