In 2016, LuvPlates officially launched its first food truck in the heart of DC. Since our doors have been open we believe that food inspires fellowship. Our homestyle dishes are made with quality ingredients and love, so they taste like home. This is the cornerstone of who we are. We’re excited to announce our expansion from our food truck into our first location in Suitland, MD. Our signature dishes include Fall off the bone Ribs, Jerk Wings, Jumbo lump Crab Cakes, and World Famous Mac & Cheese! We look forward to you joining the LuvPlates family and dining with us.

Service was quick and easy. Prices were good. Food was marvelous. First experience for me and it was a great one. That strawberry cheesecake THOU, Chile mind you I don’t like cheesecake but that thing was BOmB. You get so much food for the price. I wish could have gotten a before pic but I was hungry and it was smelling too good. It’s worth a try no matter your preference!!! YUM!!!

LuvPlates- I was greeted when I walked in, and no wait! The man at the counter explained the menu to me, and I decided on the fall off the bone plate. It came with ribs, 2 sides (mac & cheese and greens), and red beans and rice. The food was delicious and plentiful. The only thing I didn’t like was too much sauce on the ribs and the ribs on top of my rice. There are no issues with the quality of the food. The greens were some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The ribs truly were fall off the bone tender!! Kudos to the cook/chef!! Unfortunately, I don’t live in the area, but I will recommend this place to those that do live here.

Luv Plates has been open for about year but I finally stopped thru today for lunch. I called and made a preorder and my food was hot and ready by the time I arrived. I ordered the fall off the bone ribs (delish), Mac and cheese, jasmine rice, and the BBQ halal chicken (a slow cooked bbq chicken sandwich). All the food was fresh, well seasoned, and hot. Everything was very tasty and the customer service was very good. The staff are personable. I will definitely be patronizing them again in the very near future and I highly recommend!

I ordered LuvPlates catering for a baby shower. The price per person was fantastic! The food was incredible! All of our guests gave us numerous compliments. I ordered enough for 60 people and there was way more than enough so each person could have seconds. Highly recommend!

Based from the reviews, I’d assumed it was going to be good, but no, the food was special. I had to try this spot for my 43rd Birthday! I’m glad I did. I ordered greens, mac & cheese and Ribs. Those ribs was tender and falling off the bone . The food was definitely great soulfood and reasonably priced. Customer service was excellent..the Cashier was friendly, explained meal options and prices not to mention he was very handsome! Ladies all the gentlemen there was a site for sore eyes while waiting for food. Go get your food! They share a parking lot so it could be tight at times but the food is worth it! Take out only at this time, no dine in or delivery. I will be back. Congratulations to this new establishment…it’s a winner to the neighborhood.

My daughter tried LuvPlates Soul & Grill and could not stop raving about their crab bites and meatballs. So, for high school graduation party, she specifically asked for those items to be on the menu. I told her to set it up. Jacob called and sealed the deal. The food was amazing and so was Jacob’s customer service. We also ended up with green beans that were to die for. Everyone wanted to know where we got the food so Luvplates got free advertisement at the party just by making food that taste too good to eat just once. Thank you LuvPlates. You will be getting some new customers. The food was amazing!

Tried one of their Food truck locations via the Fooda app. I’m in heaven! The jerk chicken is boldly, beautifully spiced, the chicken is cooked perfectly, moist and falling off the bone. The rice and beans are lovely, not just filler. And the cabbage is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Warm and patient staff. Will be hoping to see their name again via Fooda.
