This place opened at the beginning of the pandemic and I’ve been waiting to checking it out. So today was the day. I ordered the La Conejita cocktail, a bourbon and carrot juice drink. I was really surprised by how good it tasted. For dinner, I ordered the seared diver scallops. I was a little disappointed in the size of the scallops. It looked like they sliced a regular scallop into three slices so they were really thin. But the sauce was savory with a bit of a kick. I also ordered corn tortillas, which are hand made and delicious, not knowing they were an extra charge. At least the bartender was very cordial.

Unless you stop for drinks, I’d pass this place up for food.

Awesome find! Everything we ordered was soooo good. Really eclectic mexican food. Got the guac, oysters, salmon, ahi tostada, mushrooms, and the pork. Drinks and service were great as well. A bit on the expensive side but worth the culinary experience. Compliments to the chef!!

So happy that Lupe’s reopened after this tough Covid surge. They are back and even more delicious than before. Mind blown at everything we ordered. Flavorful, yet nothing was too overpowering. The flavors of the meat and seafood come through beautifully and enhanced by the ingredients they are cooked with. Their cocktails are also bomb!

Went for Saturday lunch and the oyster hour menu is pretty small. With the giant bar that they have, you would think their cocktail menu would be bigger, and drinks better, but they are decent. Had oysters, double decker taco and nachos. The nachos and oysters are great, but the double decker is a skip.

Soft opening day 3. Our waitress is Katrina. We happened to stroll by and see that it was open. We tried the gorditas, which was yummy, warm and fresh. We also tried the squash blossom, pescado tacos (comes with 2), aguachile and camote. My favorite dish is the camote -bone marrow on top of a charred sweet potato was just delicious. Everything else was good too. I would say that for the aguachile some tostadas were saltier than others so I think they need more consistency with that. I had one that was way saltier and took away from the aguachile but I had one that was salted correctly and that was good. Another thing about the aguachile is that it can be very very spicy if u get a chili in there. Besides that it was good. I’m not knocking them off stars because it’s a soft opening and I know they are still working on things. I’m excited to come back and try more things off the menu. Thank-you for the recommendations, Katrina! Next time I come back I’d like to try the Al pastor tacos, the tostadas and whole fish.

Relaxed space with good food. I had my first Oyster here along with Chilaquiles and some Guacamole. Giving 4/5 stars because there was no indication the Tostada(Shrimp) had Habanero Pepper.

I visited Lupe’s on a Wednesday at about 5pm for the purpose of enjoying happy hour delicacies and deals. What had intrigued me the most was the advertisement for 1.50$ oysters. I thought the price sounded too good to be true for any kind of decent oysters. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were very fresh, creamy, with a great sea flavor. We had first ordered 6 oysters to test the waters and were so happy, we immediately ordered an additional dozen. There was a bit of shells, which is normal regardless of cost. They were served with horse radish, lemon, vinegar, and cocktail sauce (i think, i like vinegar only).

Very good spot for Mexican food with an abundance of seafood options. Craft cocktails are legit too. Had a carrot juice old fashioned that actually hit the spot.
