Really great atmosphere on weekdays for solo diners! I got the Big Kahuna Tuna, and the sandwich itself was pretty good. The real star was the Lulu chips, which are large homemade chips with the blue cheese sauce! Asian slaw is good, but not enough to pass up the opportunity to get a whole side of Lulu chips.

Husband has gotten the Mediterranean steak pita and he loves it I got the margherita flat bread and it was not good at all. Burnt and bland. I don’t get anything from there anymore but husband still likes the steak pita

My first visit. Ordered a steak pita. It was very tasty and plentiful. Homemade chips and an Asian slaw rounded out my meal. My daughter had the falafel with the same sides. She enjoyed the pita as well. They do have other food, not just pitas. This was a pleasant meal. I would definitely return.

LuLu’s is a shining star in a landscape of mediocrity. When a friend comes into town, we always head here for good food and beer and a chance to hang out and talk. They make one of my favorite sandwiches anywhere, the Big Kahuna Tuna with the homemade chips and dipping sauce. The help actually seems like they’re having a nice time. Pretty much the only restaurant my wife will eat at on the South Side. I really don’t know how they manage to be consistently this good. Kudos!
