I have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile, I decided to go tonight just my toddler and I for a mommy and me date. When I entered the hostess was warm and inviting and explained that they didn’t have any available tables at the moment because they were doing reservations only. I was more than understanding. She then proceeded to tell me I could head to the side room where the to go orders are picked up and if there was an open table it’s first come first serve, same menu and service and someone would be right with us. To my surprise there was an open table. My toddler and I sat down and waited patiently for someone to come to the table. I kept him busy with a book and made eye contact with the server for the small room several times. After 15 minutes of no contact from anyone within the wait staff I chose to leave. I’m eight months pregnant, I was really looking forward to trying to food at this restaurant and I wanted a special night with my sweet boy before he’s no longer an only child. The fact that no one even bothered to say anything really turned me off and I won’t be back. I would have even been happy with a “hey we’re super busy but here’s a menu and I’ll be with you guys as soon as I can”. I stopped by the hostess station on my way out and explained the wait and lack of a simple acknowledgment and halfway through my conversation she rolled her eyes and walked away. I’ve served most of my adult life, I understand hectic busy nights. I was kind and understanding and just wanted to let someone know this situation wasn’t ideal for a super pregnant, hormonal woman with a two year old. Proceeded to cry my hormones out in the car and drove an hour away where my little man and I had amazing service and a wonderful dinner.

Wow, fantastic tasting Italian food at a very reasonable price point. The owner is the cook he’s there every day evidently. We could tell that the staff loved their job and really believed in the restaurant. That says a lot. If you are visiting historic Chestertown it’s only a 10 minute ride. I highly recommend it. its worth the ride.

This place is nice and the service was decent but I wasn’t impressed with the food. I’m sure people dread hearing this, but I tend to make better at home. The pasta wasn’t very flavorful, and the portion size wasn’t very big for the price. Maybe because it’s supposed to appear upscale? I also didn’t like that they have seafood options for pasta on the menu but don’t offer a seafood pizza. I can say, however, they do have some great menu options.

We were lucky enough to score a 22 year tenured professional employee who loved her job. The Owner is the cook. In other words, Oversight of all operations is always ongoing. The drive to this eatery is 100 miles Roundtrip and worth it. We loved our experience and plan to return very soon. GiddyUp!!

VERY DISAPPOINTED. STAFF WAS RUDE…ESPECIALLY “THE BOSS”. We arrived at 6pm with a party of 6. We were told they could not seat us or put us on a wait list. There were many open tables and more opening up soon. Do not recommend this place. Staff is frazzled and rude.

I had dinner here the other night for the first time, and I had one of the best Italian dinners in awhile! The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was wondering, and the service was very attentive. We had one of the wood fire pizzas, pasta with scalloped, and chicken parmesan. The portions were generous and we had to get to go boxes! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Italian meal!
