Ok, so we heard about this new place in Grand Haven, sooooo. We had to go. We walked in and felt at home in an instant! The bartender and the staff.. AMAZING! The food, AMAZING! Seriously, this place is truly something special. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and staff… I don’t have enough good to say about. A MUST when in Grand Haven. They are a bit off the beaten path, 100% worth it.

I have been a regular patron of Lucy’s for over 8 years. Never once have I had a singke complaint. However after today’s visit, I see no reason to return. I was immediately stunned by the changes inside to which the hostest seemed not to even know what I meant. I was directed to place my order at the bar. I ordered one large tub of their broccoli salad to go. That’s it. It took 19 minutes for them to put the salad in the tub which turns out is less than half the size they used to be. Not much of a lunch. I had hoped that it would at least taste the same….it did not. Only order this if you want a tiny tub full of wet rasins. I remarked on the drastic reduction in size to which they said they could get me another order. I said that i didn’t have another 10 minutes as I had to return to work. (To which they said “Wow”)

Lucy’s is an amazing addition to Grand Haven and so needed. They’re doing everything right, so far and the staff is very attentive and working to make this a spot to go. Our server, Cali, was everything you expect in a serving professional. Service was exceptional and our evening ended up perfectly because of her. Go to Lucy’s you won’t be disappointed. Music by Jack Leaver on the back patio was excellent. The rest was anything but. The server got drink orders mixed up, FORGOT altogether to bring one in our party of 5 her drink, and then didn’t return to check if we wanted more. Had to flag down another server to get service even though the place was quite slow. Bees were flying around us and actually landed on the musicians hand. Prices for simple mix drinks and domestic beer seemed high. Only reason to go there is to hear the music.

What a spectacular change. Lucys used to be a great sandwich shop but had transformed into an elegant drinking and eating establishment. The staff are kind, attentive and knowledgeable ready to offer you new and exciting drinks. In addition, there is live music in the back, so come in enjoy a drink under the stars.
