I really enjoy Lucky’s for a great breakfast. This is a small restaurant in the check village. It has a great atmosphere. It is relaxed and you can feel comfortable sitting for a while and drinking your coffee. I noticed a couple groups of coffee drinkers enjoying conversation. I had the veggie skillet and it was excellent. I requested to add gravy and the staff was very accommodating. The other dish at my table was a vegetable omelet which included fresh fruit. I do like the larger choices of bread which included not only white and wheat but rye pumpernickel and cinnamon raisin. They also have a nice lunch menu.

Hip little place in a fun part of cedar rapids. I ordered the French toast with eggs and bacon and it was a good breakfast. Husband ordered the special which was a Cali Benedict and it was amazing! Dripping with hollandaise sauce – exactly what you want! It was busy but service was great and they got us to a table really fast!

Great place to eat breakfast. I had the biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. I sat at the bar and ate. Great atmosphere. Will be back next time I’m in town!

This is a neat place. Great service and nice people. Breakfast food is good but not outstanding. I’d go here again if in town but would get something else. Biscuits and gravy are dry. For God’s sake, add some gravy. Not that hard. Corned beef hash is OK. The skillet needed more meat and cheese, less potatoes. Good, just could be better. I never understand these places that could be great, but settle for OK.

My dad worked here as a cook until he had passed.. unfortunately never got to experience it while he was still alive but tried it after and the food here is always good everytime I come here. The Mac and cheese is a top 5 for me and I’m very picky on my Mac and cheese. Also service is always great!!

We stopped in here Sunday morning for a family breakfast. We may have had to wait a while for seats, but it was definitely worth the wait. The food was outstanding, and our server, Megan, was the best! She made sure we had beverages right away. She gave great recommendations on food choices. She was very attentive, kind and personable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and others. Great food and fun atmosphere.

We had a great first experience at Lucky’s! It was busy with the Hawk game on but you couldn’t tell by how well our waitress kept up! We were immediately acknowledged when we walked in and had the best food – the pancakes are HUGE and so fluffy! Can’t wait to go back!

Ermahgerd. Best bite of the holiday. Turkey, Swiss, stuffing, poached egg, English muffin, Hollandaise. Buttery crispy just right hash browns. 2 people, $30. The place was packed at 10:30 AM. Obviously a testament to the food! Eat here and bring a friend because this is something to share!
