Houston meets Brownwood with this beautifully thought out restaurant. I know I was in the right place when the owners’ family members greeted me through the door and accommodated me although I did not have a reservation. The steak mac was perfection–created by one owner. The drinks were crafted by a knowledgeable bartender and the chocolate cheesecake was to die for–made by the mother in law! A true family affair, from their table to yours. This place is a must visit when you are in or near Brownwood, TX.

The most upscale menu in Brown County bar none. What Christian Nance & Co. have done here is phenomenal. I mean, just come by to look at the bar. Really. Things are happening here that aren’t even done in much larger cities. Support local business!

Interesting environment…Old bank converted into a tasteful restuarant! Great ambiance! Great interesting menu served! Owner stopped by to check on us and even took photos of our group. Great evening! Highly reccomend!

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The sweet tea could use a bit more sugar, but I was pleasantly surprised with the wide array of foods they offer. I would of loved some bread served at sit down to munch on whilst waiting for the main portions. I got the Korean Fried Chicken which was quite spicy, I would of liked it to be labeled as spicy but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The waiter was very kind and the atmosphere was great.

A fun upscale dining experience based in a beautiful restored bank building in downtown Brownwood, Texas. The high end whiskeys & cocktails were outstanding & made by expert bartenders Michael & Danielle Bunker. Delicious Aged Ribeye & garlic mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The owners were welcoming, friendly, & went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. Highly recommend Lucille & Mabel’s Kitchen and Libations.

Oh it’s so, so nice to have a good quality, classy restaurant in downtown Brownwood. I had the Chilean sea bass special and it was excellent. Also ate the Italian salad, I believe called Little Italy and that too was tasty. Plan to go back again to try some of their other menu items.

Had dinner with friends this week. The 3 filets with 3 distinct sauces were the best I’ve ever eaten. Hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was warm and friendly and the service was top notch. I’d recommend this restaurant to everybody.
