It has been at least 40 years since I’ve been to this location (one of the last) and it was great! Food was really good; the service was nice and it was a total blast from the past. I wish there were more locations open. Too many fast food places. Staff even carried my father’s tray for him since he needs a cane. You won’t find that at McDonald’s or other places.

This Lubys location is very good. I had a sirloin steak and my friends had the fish and two sides. Our waitress was really nice and everything was cooked to perfection. ❤️

On the day we visited Luby’s the line was a little long but moving along at a good pace. We arrived around 1 pm so this was expected. Both hubby and I ordered the Luann Plates . We both ordered the Bacon Cheese Chopped Steak. For my sides I had the scallop potatoes that had wonderful flavor. My other side was corn along with cornbread . Hubby’s side dishes were mashed potatoes and mac and cheese . The mac and cheese was delicious . Update on our last visit I’m not sure who was supposed to be our server , no one stopped by the table to see if we needed anything. The food was still delicious

The service is pretty good in store at this location. Usually the waitresses are attentive. I give it a 1 star because with this last visit my husband found this inside his steak. I love lubys. I prefer the Hillcrest and Fredericksburg location but that day we went to Main st. Never again. Occasionally at this restaurant location my food (specifically chicken) has been undercooked, still bleeding and I’ve had to exchange it but this is disgusting. I still have it. Pretty sure it’s a cats nail. I’ve been waiting for the gm to call me back but they have not responded. I’m completely grossed out and I recommend at least trying a different location. I like the atmosphere for families and the selection of foods. Something for everyone.

Horrible customer service. Employee don’t care which is a reflection of management. I’ve come here for years and I’ve gone my last time. Luby are going to have to close if they can’t improve there. Service cause all the location are getting worst and worst.

I was super impressed how the food was Super Hot and Fresh! I hadn’t been in years and we caught the day it was kids eat free. They accommodated my childs plate with an extra cost but it was what she wanted. Portions were appropriate, plenty options and meal deals. We had salads, deserts and drinks which was a pretty penny but we all had plenty to eat and some to even take home. The staff was friendly to the entire group and extra attentive to the kids. Loved the Jalapeno cornbread and Fish of course. We all will be back soon.
