My experience at Lu Nello was incredible the service was great. The bar area was nice and modern the dining area was great as well. I ordered a pork chop and a Caesar salad all my food was excellent. The prices are high but it’s a fancy restaurant and it’s worth it.

So many good things to say about this restaurant and the meal. Each dish was well prepared, and we had plenty of leftover to take home (though that was not the goal). It is a large menu, though I felt the wine choices were more limited than the menu. Our server was excellent. We will certainly dine here again.

Being here a few times in the past, maybe I let my expectations get the best of me. The appetizers were good. Got some oysters, some baked clams, a small zuppa, a salad and a cauliflower special appetizer zthat was $26 for a half serving . Service and accommodations were 5 star. Great service, great vino/ coat check/ valet/ all top notch. I ordered the chicken martini, was crispy and delicious, however, there was a small amount of the sauce on the side and the portion was that off of a kids meal. We were a party of 7 and each portion except 1 was small for the price at an Italian restaurant, never mind having to dump a sauce onto your meal, a first for me but I can get down with that. My better half nailed it with the best meal at the table having the veal voldastano. Perfection in every aspect, even had a little bone in the fold over. Tartufo w small pieces of fresh fruit, always excites. The other meals I can not speak for taste, but five out of seven by eye are for the the slim waisted. .More disappointed than satisfied this time around LuNello’s.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding Anniversary and it was our first time back since the pandemic. The recent renovations that were done are spectacular. A very warm atmosphere and friendly service as in the past. The food and service was outstanding. Considering the inflation, the prices are very fair and comparable to others. One of the most beautiful and classiest restaurants around and has always been our favorite.

Wow, I was so impressed with the renovations you did at the bar. My friends who I met there for dinner tonight, have been coming to this place for many years and the encrusted pistachio salmon with the Dijon Mustard was just like we had it yesterday. Chef Lou, incredible. And kudos do the bartenders, Deana, Justine and Laura. You really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. We Will definitely be back. Incredible food and service. PS. I am the New Guy which was written on my check, ❤️ it.

Went to LuNello last night, it was third time in a month. The previous two visits were for lunch at the bar, which was excellent. This visit was in the evening in the main dining room. Having liked specific dishes, I ordered them yet again. We had calamari, great presentation, crisp fresh good. I had risotto LuNello, which was not nearly up par to the previous two I had. It tasted like it had been cooked earlier and put in a microwave, as it was super hot and the filet tips all somewhat tender, but well done, as opposed to my previous dishes that were super tender and at a moderate temp.

I really enjoyed the meal. Haven’t had a great Italian meal in a while. Service was a little bit of an issue waiting for the small things, like drink, seasonings, dessert. But, the food and friendliness more than made up for the little things.

Food was really good. We took it out. The seafood salad was amazing. Only issue we had was that they could not provide plastic silverware

If your looking for a TOP NOTCH Italian restaurant Lu Nello is it! It has a beautiful Italian decor inside, an extensive menu from house made pastas, seafood, to top of the line meats. There was really something on the menu for every budget. They have your basic Italian dishes also an extensive list of specials of the day. They also give you a list of specials of the day all written down which is nice because I’d never remember them all. I ordered a half order of the strozzapreti pasta as an appetizer topped with lump crab meat. The half order was a huge portion that I asked my waiter if this was the dinner size or appetizer portion! It was absolutely delicious, and despite the large size it was so good I managed to eat it all! For dinner I asked my waiter if the chef can make me veal chop parmesan. They have veal Parmesan on the menu, but I just love veal chop parmesan! I’m not kidding when I tell you this was the best veal chop parmesan I ever ate, and believe me I ate a lot of them! It was pounded very thin and lightly breaded topped in a fantastic red sauce and fresh mozzarella. The veal melted like butter it my mouth! They had lots of house made desserts to choose from, and I chose one of the dessert specials of the day which was a house made cinnamon crunch donut topped with vanilla gelato. It was AMAZING, and a perfect ending to my fabulous meal here! Lu Nello is definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in NJ, and it’s definitely worth a trip to dine here!
