This was our 1st trip to Sarasota and I’m so pleased with myself that I found this restaurant! It’s PERFECT!!! The owners could literally be on South Beach or some other fancy smansy place but they choose to serve Sarasota and the locals are so lucky. Trust me when I say they set the bar pretty high after this dining experience. My son is extremely picky and he cleaned his plate! I recommend the eggs Benedict with shrimp and guacamole. We will be back as soon as our son is out for summer. It’s obvious the food here is made with the utmost care.

Fabulous little French restaurant. Everything was super fresh and cooked to perfection. They really take pride in their food. They even had these little fan things over their pastries to keep the bugs away I absolutely love it!! So clean inside even the restrooms. This place is a must go!!! Bonjour!!

I stumbled onto the Lovely Square searching for local French restaurants, and I’m so happy I did. Tucked in Gulf Gate, the Lovely Square is a clean, peaceful restaurant with fantastic food choices. I ordered the tuna poke bowl, baguette brie chicken sandwich, and the power soup made fresh daily. Fresh and Delicious! The staff and owners are friendly, polite, and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit and see for yourself!

Typical hole in the wall Gulf Gate eatery. Far from fancy and they shoot for “charm” with turquoise walls and IKEA style chairs (which are comfortable). The servers are extremely pleasant, offering a warm smile.
