Id give this place a solid 8.5/10. The bao buns are super good, the fires are freaking great. It’s just that they go really light on the meat for the pork ones and a bit heavy on the kimchi. The kimchi just covers up a lot of that delicious fluffy umami going on and makes it almost too fresh.

Ordered the Taiwanese bentos (popcorn chicken and braised tofu), fish burger and aiyu lemon drink for take out during a quick visit to NC. The service was efficient. Everything was delicious/authentic! Not much else to ask for 🙂

Absolutely love the deep fried king mushrooms here, this time I got the vegetarian pork belly bao instead – I think the bun might have dairy in it. It was actually really good! Loved the pickled vegetables and peanut topping. You definitely need to eat something with it though bc it’s not filling enough to be a meal

Best minced pork rice I have had outside of Taiwan. It is funny how such high level establishment is in a simple food court. Skip fancy restaurants, this is as good as the food gets. Fried chicken is okay because the bottom layer got too oily (they should dry them for a longer time after frying, but I understand the timing is not convenient)

We’ve been coming here for awhile, but was quite disappointed in the changes to the popcorn chicken today. Instead of crispy pcs of lightly coated chicken, they’re now doughy balls surrounding a small bit of meat. Taste is ok, but chewy instead of crispy, and more dough than chicken. Downgrade in quality for sure.

The original Pork Gua Bao they have is my favorite thing their it is soo good and I believe this is the only place in the area to get something like it. I’m from Taiwan and since covid hit I haven’t been able to go visit however Love Bao hits all the boxes for me. Their service is fairly quick and they are located inside HMart so the atmosphere can be noisy at times. However the food more than makes up for it the Gua Bao is tender and delicious and everyone should give it a try if they are in the area!

It’s definitely my top choice of Taiwanese food across the US! The taste of fried chicken cutlet is almost what I have in Taiwan! I think Bao chef is doing amazing job that they are bringing Taiwan flavor and authentic food to US.
