We were seated upstairs on the outdoor balcony and it is so beautiful. The atmosphere inside was super cozy, and it smelled like seafood when you walked in. I was definitely taken aback by the decor and the beautiful green staircase! For an appetizer we ordered the hush puppies. They were phenomenal. The honey, barbecue dipping sauce reminded me of Grifos chips. We also got a seafood dip, and it was really good. The special last night was a pork tenderloin with peas and potatoes and that was ordered as well as the seafood fettuccine. Our food was great! I cannot wait to go back.

Nice cozy place with Nola style cuisine. For drinks, we ordered the French 75, sazerac13′ and old fashioned. All 3 drinks were extremely strong. It pretty much tastes like straight shots. The main dishes were everything!!! The mango salmon with grilled veggies was amazing. The salmon was smokey and most…smoked perfectly. And the grilled veggies was the perfect side to this dish. The shrimp and grits was superb. Shrimp wasn’t overcooked, the grits had the perfect texture, and the roux was amazing. Definitely reminds you of Nola cooking. The roasted chicken wings was pretty good, but i cant put them in the same league as the main dishes. Please give this place a try.

I had a nice lunch with my mother here. The wings were delicious and the hush puppies even better. The drink I got was really good I think it was a hurricane. Definitely will be back

Stopped in before our candle making class . Pleasantly surprised restaurant. Nola themed packed with beignets, voodoo punch or French 75. Our service was really good, Branden did an amazing job. The drinks are VERY strong, the drinks are so strong that it over powers the taste of the drink itself. The food is excellent! Everything had very great taste. Mango salmon and shrimp and grits were top faves. We ordered beignets but we’re unable to try them fresh so we didn’t get to experience them. Will try again before we leave. Definitely a return spot. Love the decor and ambiance.

Arrived early for lunch. Staff was super friendly and on the ball. This place is awesome! The vibe is perfect. Basement speakeasy with live bands in the evenings. 1st floor has a dining patio. 2nd floor balcony and private dining room. 3rd floor is a Bed and Breakfast. The food was perfect and delicious!

LouLou’s on Market was our culinary sanctuary on our recent trip to Louisville. The great drinks, solid Cajun/Creole style food, absolutely gorgeous patio and friendly staff had us coming back for more! Literally: we ate dinner and came back for lunch!

First time coming, but it won’t be my last!! I ordered the seafood pasta, and it was delicious. I asked to have the parmesan cream sauce instead of the creole sauce because I can’t handle spicy foods. I sampled a friends crawfish mac and cheese, although it was too spicy for me..it was really good. For dessert I had the beignets and they were HANDS DOWN some of the best I’ve tasted. Our waiter Joe was absolutely fabulous, highly knowledgeable, and very attentive.

The most authentic New Orleans dining experience you’ll find in Louisville. The restaraunt is small and the dining area felt a little tight but that is apart of the experience. All that was missing was a New Orleans style live band.

Love the ambience of the restaurant. The service was great. I got the pork chop after a friend of mine raved about it. We went to the other Lou Lou in Saint Matthews but they didn’t have it on their menu. I hate report that I was disappointed. The pork chop was dry and lacked flavor. Very underwhelming. However, the kale was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed my old fashion and the crayfish Bayou dip was tasty.
