Got 4 tacos supreme ( with avocado and sour cream) there is none to be found, paid $4 each taco, asked for water, got automatically charged for 2 bottles of water, when all I wanted was a cup like most other restaurants give you for free, total for 4 tiny tacos and 2 bottles of water was $21.

Yo, the reviews that are up in here talking smack need to be deleted. The sweetest lady helped my while the other sweet younger lady was cooking and preparing food…. the older of the two ladies made my tacos. I will return, there was no sense of hostility during my visit here. It does appear the facility needs renovation, but that’s not the restaurant workers fault and it played no role on my decision to eat here. The tacos I ordered are beef with burnt ends. My first bite took me back to the days I’d vacation in Mexico. These are authentic and beautifully prepared. She gave my one Verde and one Rojo, all the toppings and they are absolutely delicious.

I ordered a burrito and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and quality of ingredients. The meat (carnitas) was tender, the tortilla was slightly crispy but definitely pliable, the salsa that they added had just the right amount of spice, and the rice was well-seasoned. My only complaint is that the beans could’ve been better. Also, the place looks kinda empty and has no decorations, which isn’t really an issue but it doesn’t add to a pleasant experience. The service was good and to-the-point. The burrito was a bit more expensive than I expected and a little smaller than most, but it’s definitely the best tasting burrito in Merced.

The Al Pastor is Incredible. Good Customer service… however the rest of the food we ordered wasnt as good as the Food being cooked outside… so my review is for the Al Pastor outside.

I ordered the Asada Burrito and Asada Supreme Tacos. It’s ok at best. DEFINITELY over priced for the quality of food there. The asada tasted like it was marinated in salt water. The salsa they gave me didn’t help with the taste of salt. When I say it was so salty, I needed so much water after I was done eating because I had bad cotton mouth. To make matters worse, the rice in the burrito was either stale or not cooked all the way, kernels of rice were crunchy, and they weren’t burnt and no flavor what so ever. I heard a lot of good things about this place, so maybe I just caught them on an off day. I’ll go back one more time to try their Pastor and Churros, but if that’s not good then the rating will be lower and not going back.

every once in a while, you will find one of those places where the staff is super nice, and the food is incredible. This is one of those places. I ordered the Kearny Asada burrito, received it in less than 10 minutes, and have been hooked on this place ever since. It taste like the best taco truck you have ever had, but with a sit down restaurant feel. Without a doubt my favorite place in Merced!

Awesome taco shop. Authentic tacos… handmade tortillas. The carnitas are to die for… incredible flavor, juicy, delicious. You will crave these tacos and you’ll be willing to travel for miles to get them. The tacos are so good the women at the counter can afford to be grumpy to guests! They are like, “hey if you don’t like me go somewhere else cuz our tacos are that good! ” ha ha! So funny. give em a smile and they might give you one back.

I don’t how this place has only four stars. I love, love, love Mexican food and I’ve eaten more tacos in my life than I can count. The tacos here are OFF THE HOOK! Omg, seriously amazing. And the Smokey salsa is bomb. You do wait a little longer for your food here than most places but it’s so worth it!

Seeing the pastor meat on the stick outside is always appealing. It only happens in the afternoon on the weekends. The pastor tacos had a funky odor like the meat had been sitting out for some time and you have to pay for those with cash outside and all other tacos are paid indoors. It’s a hasle to make line outside and then inside again. Service was non-existent. Its just pay and go. Traditional pastor tacos are cooked on a stick with the blazing flame hitting the meat. Unfortunately, the cook kept cutting the meat off the “trompo” (meat stick) and cooking it on the griddle. It was okay but not great or anything to rave about. Then we asked for our salsa on the side so our tacos would get soggy and they charged us for the salsa little cups $1 each. If they had put the salsa in our tacos it would not have cost extra. That’s nonsense! I wouldn’t go back again, I’d go across the street to Victoria’s instead.
