The quesadillas are humongous, homemade corn tortilla ,and very filling, I had lingua and pastor. I took a while to get the food or to even order it. The place was empty but the waitress had more important things to do on her phone. The horchata was a little too sweet, but was still good.

Please do not eat here. This was there most health inspection report: “Los Magueys at 1211 E. Seminary Drive scored 35 on Aug. 9. The inspector found live roaches in the kitchen and noted that raw chicken was stored on top of cooked food. The establishment scored 13 on a follow-up inspection two days later.”

Excellent food and large portions! Service was slow with only 1 waitress, but she tried hard to keep up.

I was very disappointed in my visit this time, they only had 2 waiters on a Sunday it took them 1hr to get our food out and I had to be getting the salsas from other tables and be following the waiter for 25 min to remind her to get the other food that was missing, food taste ok, the tortillas were hard and cold the only thing good was the consome, and to make it worse the A/C was not really blowing cold air and it was super hot so they had fans, will not be going back.

The food was real authentic Mexican food. If you are hungry when you leave this place you won’t be. Super big portions . This is the type of place if you don’t know about it . You’d probably drive right past it without knowing. It’s in a little Mexican shopping strip . But you should definitely stop by and check the food out. The plate I had was 3 tacos that are massive with rice and beans. The barbacoa is amazing they cook it in a pit in the ground and cover it for hours. Just like they do in Mexico. When I say authentic I mean it. They make all the tortillas by Hand made to order.

I had a tlacoyo and my friend a quesadilla half pumpkin flower and half huitlacoche. They have a big size and aguas frescas. They were very slow with the service, but the food didn’t take long to arrive. But the waiter forgot to bring my drink…

The octopus quesadilla was a little dry. They charge for the soup for barrillas 10.50!!! When it’s free at all of the 70+ authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve visited. The Barrillias were good tho!

The food is great, a little greasy for my liking. There is usually two people who run the place but beware when paying with cards, they like to charge more and if you don’t say nothing they won’t fix your ticket. It’s happened twice before and it was with a lady. I love the giant Quesadillas offered here, you MUST try them if you eat here.
