Los Gordito’s Menu – Hanahan, SC

Type : Mexican restaurant

Location : Hanahan, SC

My wife Marissa and I are from Arizona, where we met in high school. Truth be told, I had the biggest crush on her for several years, but it took me until after we graduated to win her heart. Work brought us to the Charleston area six years ago, and we now consider it home. But even though you settle happily in one area, there are always those things from your past that remind you of your childhood and your first home. For us, that was Sonoran Mexican food.

It’s very hot inside. This place made taco bell seem like they know what they are doing. The salsa looks like tomatoe paste with cilantro tasted horrible. The quesodilla was nothing but a very thin layer of unseasoned meat with cheese. The taco tray was more of the bland meat and a tortilla no cilantro or anything else on it definitely not worth the $30 for 10. Chips were stale. I ordered spanish rice that tased like it had bengay in it. Definitely not worth the $90. Growing up in a Mexican American family this food is an insult to Mexican cuisine. You can get better food from a taco truck for a better price thats authentic and made with family pride.

Heyyyyy, TUCSON! Excellent Tucson-style, Sonoran Mexican food. Not that ridiculous Tex-Mex (sorry, Tejas, but just no), none of that New Mexico Mexican, great ingredients and as authentic as it gets. The Sonoran Dogs are a MUST HAVE for anyone that hasn’t been to Tucson. Mind. Blowing. IYKYK! Carne Asada Burrito and tacos on point, and the beans, well they just don’t make them that way anywhere but Tucson. Family owned all the way. Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

Simply Amazing! I have gone to one too many Mexican Cusine restaurants and by far, this is the best! Food was fresh, well seasoned and the presentation was inviting to simply dig in! Stopped to eat something quick, after a long day of work and on my way home, felt guilty not sharing the experience and I ordered more to go and bring home! Place is super cozy, staff was betond friendly, not too loud not too quiet, is perfect for group gatherings, work meetings, they open at 10am!!! Thats a plus for me!! Kudos to the Cheff! Loved this place!

I was lured in with a brunch menu posted on FB (bacon wrapped churros) so of course that’s what I ordered. It was pretty good but I think the churros were raw inside (just enough to make it a lil creamy) but the bacon was cooked thru so all good. The eggs were fine but the potatoes…oh man the potatoes were amaaaazing. They were so well seasoned I almost ordered more but I was full. The service was great and Melanie the bartender is SO nice. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Los Gorditos in Hanahan, South Carolina is a fantastic Mexican restaurant with amazing food, friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. The menu is vast and has something for everyone, from tacos to burritos to enchiladas to quesadillas and more. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious, with a variety of flavors to choose from. The staff is friendly and welcoming and always eager to help with any questions or requests. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a bright and cheerful decor. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Los Gorditos for a delicious Mexican dining experience!

Amazing food. Everything is on point and tastes like West Coast Mexican food. I finally found a proper California burrito! I will be back. The Birria tacos are also wonderful. Highly HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for West Coast food.

I’ve been searching for good tex mex as I grew up in the southwest and in Charleston it’s hard to find authentic tex mex that isn’t a food truck. I love food trucks but sometimes you wanna sit down somewhere and chill. We drove here from John’s island mainly cuz we heard the owners were from Arizona. It didn’t disappoint. Live music, tasty salsa (free) and the cheese dip and horchata was on point. The taco barilla was also crispy and the sauce flavorful. The beef asada was ok a bit over cooked no sauce but least I had salsa to add to it. Prices are reasonable too which is rare out here. Overall recommend! Worth the drive.

Alright. Do not eat here. Upon walking into the restaurant the smell was of bad toilet water and cleaning supplies. Strike one. Our waitress…she was awesome. Attentive and pleasant. The menu. Burritos, burritos and more burritos. Tacos and some other American Mexican fare mixed in. Honestly the menu turned me off almost instantly. What we ordered. The French Fry App. Sorry no pics. Huge serving of Fries covered in cheese meat tomato and onions. Honestly not a horrible flavor. Major problem…fries where NOT COOKED at all. Told our waitress but she didn’t acknowledge. The salsa…clearly out of a can of some giant retail store. Gross. The queso dip. Man that was bad. Like white cheese soup out of a can. The margaritas had no alcohol and tasted like something you’d pour out of a 2 dollar can. Burrito time. Bean and beef and cheese. Just hot lava of refried beans with no flavor pouring out of the burrito. Not edible. Enchilada Burrito. No flavor no meat inside lots of fillers. The topping sauce was horrible. All of this for 80 bucks!!!! We left without finishing anything and went straight to Los Altos. Side not all the TVs are gone. Deft not a sports bar of any kind anymore. Was hopefully but disappointed. Heard the breakfast burritos are decent. I wouldn’t be willing to try them.
