Fresh, authentic, and the flavor packs a punch! I ordered just a couple of chicken tacos, which came with a lime wedge and cilantro for garnish. Delicious! Will be back!

The food proportions are TINY.

Mostly rice and beans… The guy recommended his hot sauce and it completely overpowered the buritto and lit my mouth on fire . This is coming from someone who puts Frank’s red hot on everything.

The food was pretty good, not big enough portions for the price they wanted. But tasty nonetheless! Service was great! Wish they had complimentary salsa instead of the generic Hispanic hot sauces they had sitting in the sun.

My wife and I had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised at how authentic and delicious the food was. She ordered a grande chicken burrito and I got the chicken tamale plate. The flavor of the chicken in both was robust, moist, and had an adequate amount of spice, especially when adding the salse verde (which was surprisingly tasty as most lack in flavor). Even the rice and beans (whole, not refried) had good flavor! Growing up eating tamales every Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s nice to find a place that sticks to the basics and cooks authentic Mexican food. The owner was very nice and had a radiant smile. The price was also agreeable given current food costs and labor required for traditional Mexican cuisine. If you are a fan of Hispanic food, don’t want to break the bank, and/or find yourself on Schofield with some extra time, I highly recommend giving Los Comales a chance.

Honestly I got myself an Grande chicken burrito and beef just for myself and it was absolutely delicious! It deserves a 5 star in my opinion because the food does have a lot of flavor and portion sizes are about perfect and it’s a mom and pop type of place and the owners are very friendly and I support my small family owned businesses. Y’all compare this place to taco bell and its really not fair. Like taco bell dog food for dirt cheap while this place has quality. Only business owners would understand but I’d encourage Y’all to give it a try and those who complain about the price must really see a financial specialist because the price didn’t phase me.

Okay first of all the food here is absolutely amazing, and let me tell you about the family that owns it. I was 21 going through a divorce, staying with friends, and trying to get back on my feet. They hired me even though I couldn’t speak Spanish and gave me a chance to learn and earn money. They took me in like family, fed me, taught me so many valuable lessons, and a lot about cooking good food!!! I can tell you from a point of view many may not get, this family is up at the crack of dawn putting together their dishes for the day, all the meat is cooked on a grill out back fresh, all the salsas, tamales, pico, guac, all of it is homemade. Their food truck was very clean and well maintained. I am forever grateful to have had the experience I did with them! I still to this day make my tacos, burritos, tamales, and tostadas the way this family taught me to!

Terrible and overpriced.

The food portions were horrible and completely overpriced. The meat was very salty and the pico was chopped in large sizes. Salsa was awful as well. The shredded cheese on the tacos was a joke. Rice was cold and bland. Would NOT recommend coming here to waste money

$12.50 for a “grande burrito” and water. Fair price until you open the burrito to find barely 4 table spoons worth of ingredients. If you enjoy munching on a mouth full of tortilla with a distant hint of beans and chicken then go for it. Super disappointed and still hungry af.
