When I lived in Pasadena, I came here at least once a week. Nowadays it’s once a month. What a delightful taco truck that stays open late. The prices are fairly good. The staff are always super friendly to everyone and the tacos come out quick! It’s street parking but there’s always a spot. Also, cash only. Make sure you try all six kinds of tacos. There are no tables so most people eat on a small standing countertop next to the truck.

High quality meat. I had one carnitas, one cabeza and one chicharron and all were good. Tortillas were about average, the red sauce was very spicy (arbol) and the green was mild and sweet. As a side, the onions were sweet as well.

I’m from California and never heard of Los California Tacos until last night. FAST, DELICIOUS, and CHEAP would be the ideal description of this place.

My first visit here two weeks ago was good. Ordered a sampling of five different tacos for the family served on plates. The staff was really attentive with two windows open and each pair serving food ans handling transactions. The tacos were good although the sauce had begun to soak through the tacos by the time I was working through them making it into a delightful mess. My second visit here unfortunately wasn’t that great. One window was opened serving food while the second window handled the payment in cash. The tacos were wrapped in foil and by the time I got home, the corn tortillas had started to break apart making it very difficult to enjoy. With a large orders of 21 tacos, I was expecting a better meal with the family. I found the meats to be much drier on this visit and the quality of the meats not so good. So maybe I’ll have to give this some more thought on my next street tacos cravings.

This is one of the best taco trucks in the San Gabriel valley if not Los Angeles County. Succulent specialty meats such as cabeza and chicharon make this a top shelf taco experience. Highly recommended. Don’t worry they serve the more conventional cuts as well such as chicken and carne asada.

There are many many taco trucks in LA. This has to be on your list and is my no 1. Taco truck in Pasadena off of Fair Oaks near Huntington Hospital. Worth the drive. My standard is 2 carne asada, 2 Carnitas and 2 Pastor. I get the mild green but the hot red is also yummy. No frills will standing or a bench for sitting. Street parking but worth it. Make it a regular late night stop.

My honest review of this place is 5 out 10 the meat it’s a little dry and not much flavor to it. El agua fresca de Jamaica need a little more sugar. I will give the corn 7 out of 10.

Best Al Pastor tacos I’ve had in LA! Chicken tacos were done very well too. Carne asada and chicharron weren’t good IMO.
