Fabulous food! Ordered the steak fajitas to split between 2 people and it was more than enough!! Came out in a large skillet with peppers and onions and tomatoes! Came with a plate of rice, quacamole, beans, pico, lettuce and sour cream.

Honestly, the name tells the tale of this restaurant. American Mexican. “Los Amigos” had a good atmosphere and cool decor, but that’s where it ended. Service was fine, and the menu had many items, but out of the 14 people I was with, about half said their food was underwhelming or just okay. For the price point of around $14 per dish, the food is averagely portioned. Would recommend other restaurants for more authentic Mexican.

Nice place and probably the best restaurant in Carlyle. Good food and good service. I come specifically for the shrimp chimichanga. There’s outdoor seating as well. It’s also right next to the marina and lake.

We have been to Los Amigos several times. The food is ok, but it seems bland in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. (And we have been to many Mexicans restaurants in several different states.) .I have ordered a dish that comes with chorizo a few times. They are not serving chorizo. Once it was plain sausage, with no spicy flavor at all. Then the chorizo was tinted red but the flavor was not right. Two others in our party also ordered the same dish and also complained about the bad chorizo. We also noticed that the servers don’t ask us “how is your meal?”. Please serve real chorizo.
