Had the best experience here on our first visit so much so we went again a day later. The food, the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Highly recommend their Chicken Karaage, The Malaysian Chicken Curry Bowl, Brisket Plate, the Kale and Pear Salad and their Key Lime Pie. This was our first visit to Austin and Loro was the first place we chose to grab a bite on our visit. We were glad to find a Loro in Houston as well. Same quality in terms of food as Austin but not the same cool vibe. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Austin. It’s very popular throughout most of the week but their plenty of space.

The hype of this place is absolutely real! The rice bowls are definitely delicious! Although I order the pork belly rice bowl I wish the pork belly was a bit crunchier to counter balance with all the softness and add texture, I still think it was really good. The atmosphere is really cool and the interior space is open concept with an option to outdoor space. Overall a great experience.

I was here with my office colleagues for dinner. Here they don’t take reservations but luckily when we reached here our wait time was 30 minutes which was worth it as we were so hungry that we divided ourselves into two groups once we decided what we wanted for drinks and food. It’s a self-serve place but the food is served on the table by the servers. One thing for sure is to come to this place and not have brisket then what else can you have. I will recommend it any time here. It’s so delicious, soft and it just melts in your mouth. As I am writing this review, I can recall the taste in my mouth even now… Food should be like that! It’s worth the wait, it’s crowded no doubt but even if it’s crowded with people you have privacy on your table as everyone is busy eating and enjoying. I truly believe if you’re hungry and/or if the food is delicious, you just don’t bother as your mind is in a mediation mode and you don’t care what’s happening in your surroundings. I’m Austin this is where I would like to go again and again. The service is great, it’s fast and delicious.

The food was fantastic. I loved all the dishes we had. They were busy so it was LOUD. As a first-time visitor it was not readily apparent, but they are set up with a service model where you order and pay at the counter, then they bring your food to your table. Beyond that there is no table service. We had to fetch our own napkins, utensils, drink refills, etc. This was a disappointment. I expected better. The staff did swoop by and clear off empty plates. I saved a few bucks because there was nobody to tip. I enjoyed the food but I disliked waiting on myself.

Busy hip place for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Beautiful patio under the oak trees right on South Lamar. Plenty of parking. I think it’s a really good business model to have counter service and they bring your food to you. I like it. Menu is full of smoked meats and dishes with Asian influences. There’s Japanese with chicken karaage, Thai green curry sausages, grilled chicken done up Malaysian-style, and Cantonese-style char-siew pork shoulder. The dinner-only brisket is paired with a sweet chili sauce and Thai herbs. Ribs are available Sunday Monday only.

We’ve traveled all over the place this summer and have eaten in SO MANY restaurants…this was hands down the best place we went to all summer. Our favorite meal in a long time!! I love Asian food and my husband loves BBQ so we joked this is our food taste baby. We got there at 5:20 on a Monday night and it was busy but we got a seat right away. Happy hour is over at 5. There is a BEAUTIFUL patio with plenty of seating, shade, and mist fans. We ate inside and it is a nice atmosphere but casual. You order at the bar. My cocktail (the Typhoon) was absolutely perfect, our appetizer was amazing, and dinner was incredible. Even the iced tea was above average. I got the chicken curry and my husband the brisket. The woman taking our order asked about allergies and has a detailed binder with food allergy info. So so helpful!!! PLEASE come open one of these in Kansas City- it would do VERY well!!

This is a great vibe and food. Service and ordering is a little different but the plating is great, flavors are delicious, and environment is great. Portions sizes a little smaller than desired. On the pricier side. Not really kid friendly vibe later at night. Overall great place and will be coming back.

Great spot for a unique Asian smokehouse experience. It was busy when we visited on a Sunday holiday weekend, but we were seated in about 20 minutes. It’s a super casual spot, there’s not much table service; You get assigned a table, order at the bar, then they will bring your food. And that’s perfectly fine. I had the Loro cheeseburger which would have been better if there was more brisket jam. Overall a very delicious dinner and I would recommend to others.

This place is everything I love about Austin- amazing food and atmosphere, super chill vibes, great drinks, and amazing music. Love the architecture and interior design as well! And you can’t beat finishing off your time with a breezy hang under the lovely live oaks!

Great vibe and delicious Asian fusion bbq done tastefully. Pork ribs were very tender. Good value for huge tray of chips and dip.
