What a find in the mountains of Virginia! Don’t judge the book by its cover or you’ll miss something wonderful. Excellent and totally unexpected flavors make this a new favorite place to stop. Oh and don’t skip out on the dessert… homemade and delicious!

I was looking for a hidden gem. Had to travel to Hillsville today and wanted something beyond fast food for lunch. I learned a valuable lesson, don’t always trust google reviews (funny right?)…. With 4.8 stars I thought I couldn’t go wrong. The menu prices were pretty high for a food truck, but I figured it would be amazing grub. It wasn’t. All three meals my family received were breaded and fried, poorly at that. The breading fell off everything before it got to your mouth. Two grouper(fish stick)tacos, 8 shrimp, 5 bay scallops with fries, and a chicken tender sandwich with fries $50! We left hungry..So that’s the food…. The interior of the building stunk like a portable toilet filled with swamp water. Now the positive to all this negative..The people running the joint were very nice and pleasant.. When you see COCKRAM keep on rolling.

This is my favorite restaurant in the country. I regularly drive hours out of my way to eat here. The menu features change often so I try different things every time, but the fish tacos, swordfish, caesar salad, and Mexican chocolate cake are always a win. I’ve never had something I didn’t absutely love. It may look unassuming but believe me when I say this is worth the stop.
