I ordered the double classic burger for myself with fries and my wife got the Iconic Lola’s double. We both enjoyed the burgers but it was a little too greasy for us. The French fries were great! Next time I go I gotta try the hot dogs.

06.09.23 This was my first visit to Lola’s Coney Island, a quick once over of the menu I spotted a Lobster Roll (@ market price). I asked what’s the market price today for a lobster roll? The young man at the register said $21.00. I said, okay, I’ll have one. When I was handed the bag, I immediately noticed the bag felt like air, not like there was a hearty indulgent lobster roll inside.

I got the chicken sandwich and cheese fries. Both were super delicious. The cheese on the cheese fries had a nice kick to it which I’ve never had before. Fries were hot and crispy as well as the chicken sandwich. The aioli on the sandwich was so good. They have a bunch of different types of drinks which were also very good. The price was reasonable and the girl working the counter and handing out the food was one of the sweetest people ever! Definitely will be back!

I recently catered in Lola’s Coney for a surprise for husband Detroit-born husband. Having been to Lola’s before, my husband and I knew that their coney dogs were authentic Detroit coney! The team was so easy to work with and super sensitive to my need to text instead of call (due to the surprise factor) and helped walk me through how many coney dogs they recommended I order for the size of the party. Leading up to and on the day of the party, they were in constant contact, confirming my order and then communicating arrival time. They were SO kind to wait a few extra minutes after the surprise was over for me to run out and grab the food! (Surprise party timelines never go quite as planned). The big kicker was as the food was being handed off to me, they shared that they had included some Better Made chips because they knew it was a birthday party and that the birthday boy was from Detroit. When I got inside I realized they had provided me TWO boxes with so many different flavors of Better Made. The food was a hit and we turned many people into coney dog lovers as they’d never sampled the delicious Detroit treat before. I have to say the most rewarding part of the party was hearing all of the Detroit born family members rave about the authenticity of the coneys for this Detroit themed birthday.

I’m always grateful for vegan options and was pleasantly surprised that a restaurant on the West Side had options. I had the Chicago style vegan dog which I believe they used Beyond Sausage. I like that she gave me the option to have the dog fried. Definitely a hit!

This place was surprisingly a great place to eat and enjoy on a date night. Big portion of food, great detail with service. I can see this place being full on the weekends with the neighborhood kids and families coming for a bite to eat but I would definitely bring my family and friends here to enjoy Chicago and their food.

I feel like I have such a streak of good luck when finding these places. I’ve passed up Lola’s so many times and always wondered what the burgers tasted like. Today I tried a burger with diced onions and pickles with aioli sauce…my GAWD!!!! My taste buds were all over the place. The onion rings were huge and crunchy and I topped it off with the thickest, sweetest Oreo shake I’ve had in a long time.
