My family went for the mother in law’s birthday and we all had a great time. The food was excellent and the server was very friendly. We sat on the covered deck and were able to watch boats going through the lock (my kids loved that as much as the food). I definitely recommend.

Nice spot located by a canal with a functioning lock that allows passage of boats and kayaks. Monday was not crowded, allowing the staff to take great care of all of us. Walked a lovely path along waterway, leading to the town graveyard. Very serene. Boats can pay a dockage fee, nominal for 24 hrs- truly a unique spot.

A very nice dinner destination. Next time I will request a table away from the bar- we were seated between two loud parties. I had read a review about generous portions- my salmon and his steak were certainly of a reasonable size but they are served with only a side of vegetables. We had to pay 3 dollars upcharge for asparagus. I think for $28 (the salmon) and steak ($24)there ought to be a potato or rice on the place too. No bread and none of the appetizers were gluten free except the shrimp and scallops skewers but we opted to just enjoy the salad instead. The salad does taste like a bag of iceberg lettuce from Aldi that was premade and sat in the fridge all day (the lettuce was formed to the plate that sat atop it). But I was quite hungry and ate every bit. No gluten free desserts so we walked over to the BVille diner where we did have a much quieter seat and had a few scoops of ice cream for a criminally low price. I will definitely be back. Oh- the artisan jewelry by Shelly is beautiful and I want to buy a gift for a birthday coming up. Service was excellent – dinner tax and tip for two with waters and one draft beer and no other extras was in the 70’s. I did like it, just a little too pricey for the ambiance and portion sizes in my opinion.

Had family into town for a funeral and looked for a restaurant close to their hotel. Lock 24 came up so we called and reserved a table for 20 (although only 14 people came.) From start to finish the service was excellent. Drinks were served in a timely manner. The food was excellent and portions were perfect for the price paid. Atmosphere was nice and the place itself was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend lock 24 for a nice experience, not to mention they were so accommodating to our large group. Kudos to our server who’s service was beyond stellar.

Nice views, casual environment and the food was fantastic. I had their seasonal pumpkin & squash ravioli with a thyme cream sauce and just about licked my plate – it was that good! One of the folks at our table had a steak and it was a very large portion size. I highly recommend and will return again.

We stopped for dinner while boating in the Erie Canal. The food is great. Portions are generous, menu extensive, prices reasonable. Our party had the scallops and shrimp on Blue cheese linguini, the Seafood and tomato on angel hair and the broiled scallops with steamed broccoli (a so-called “healthy recipe”) Everyone thought their dish was tops. Service was excellent without being pompous.

When I travel I always look for a local place that offers regional options. Soo happy I went here! The food was amazing with chef inspired options not found anywhere else. The staff were very friendly and service prompt. The food was amazing with my daughter and I both very pleased with our dinners (mine pasta, hers was salmon). Don’t miss out if you’re in the area

Staff walked by my party twice then seated two parties that came in after mine with no reservation. Waitress left the holding tray by door and two people tripped on it. We waited 36 minutes and finally asked for bread and the elderly man said we’d get it when they had a chance. Our waitress never asked if our food was okay or if we needed anything. The Seafood Platter was a joke. The crab legs were beyond tiny and had no meat. The scallops we’re not thoroughly cooked. The fish was a very good size but had no flavor. The appetizer sampler was missing three pieces and more than halfway through they brought out of the missing g pieces. This was a waste of time and money. We ended up going for pizza afterwards and will never be back.
