Enjoyed a really great atmosphere with my wife and mother there, the service was great and the quality of the food was amazing. Justin the owner is very pleasant, helpful and very attentive to how he can improve things. The cook Jerry was an all around great guy who is funny and takes pride in his food. The staff also are very awesome people!! If you’re looking for absolutely delicious food and great people to be around this place is the complete package!! Thank you Justin and Jerry!!

Ate here for the first time. It did not disappoint! The pulled pork and chopped brisket were delicious. Best brussel sprouts ever! The jalapeño poppers are addictive and the hush puppies were tasty as well. Can’t believe we didn’t try this place sooner. Will definitely go back again.

This place needs bar rescue. Seriously. Food was ok but the handling of it was poor. Turning away customer’s. No team work. The cook was stressful to other workers, tried to do it all his self . Stopped cooking to deliver an order by car. Came back didn’t wash hands. Kept touching his face while handling food. Workers crying literally. Never seen nothing like this in my life.

Heard about this place from a bbq guy. He said it was good so we gave it a try.Yum! It was better than good. We ordered online and picked it up. The service was kind and helpful. Our food was delicious! We had pulled pork and ribs. Juicy and flavorful. We had a side of green beans which was plentiful. The Mac and cheese was a little skimpy. The best was the jalapeño poppers- spicy but so good! A hidden gem in the Heights. Next time we go we will have a beer at the craft brewery that is attached and wait for our food!

We were starving and had the menu from this bbq joint so decided to call and order from the road so we could pick it up. I ordered a brisket sandwich and they asked me what sides I wanted…comes with sides. I ordered 2 hot dogs they asked what sides I wanted, comes with sides, and I ordered a burger, he asked if I wanted the smokehouse burger or plain grilled, I said plain grilled. I got there it was late I was tired so when she said it was $35.00 I figured some of the prices were a little higher then on the printed menu..i gave her $40 told her to keep the change…ran out the door. Once home I took out 2 hot dogs and a brisket sandwich and sides…no burger. Oh no! I was starving…so I looked at the receipt. They charged me $10 for each hot dog even though the menu said $5 each. They charged me for a brisket combo even though I only asked for the sandwich, they said it came with sides what they meant was I’m charging you $5 extra for everything…the burger wasn’t even on the bill. We tried to call but the lady puts you on hold for 10 mins so we hung up. I threw the coleslaw away it was inedible. They get 2 stars today because the $10 hot dog was delicious. Sigh.

Not from around the area and it was hard to find a place with something other than Italian or seafood but we were so glad we came across this place ! The food took long but it was definitely worth the wait. My boyfriend fell in love with their wings and said we must come back for more (we live 1 hour away). I had the Mac&cheese bowl with brisket on top. Everything was delicious ! We will be back for sure

Absolutely excellent bbq food and an even better staff. They will go completely out of their way to make sure you enjoy every part of you experience with them. Absolutely worth the short walk from the boardwalk. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and all of their sides were incredible. I highly recommend them!

Really good BBQ. I usually get pints to have at home and their sliced brisket is the leanest I’ve ever seen. Yes, I have smoked plenty of brisket myself and have eaten it at many places in southeast Texas, and never have I had it more delicious than LS!!

It’s great to have great BBQ on the island. Had the two meat platter( ribs and bone in chicken) with two sides and cornbread for $17. They gave me plenty of food and the smoked BBQ flavor was the real thing. There’s a bar in the back with TV’s. Great place to wait for your food. My new place for BBQ if I’m not making it myself.
