The fried jalapeño rings were the best part of this meal. They really are good! The chicken fried chicken dinner was mediocre; the mashed potatoes were just kind of smushed around, but at least they were real potatoes and not instant! They lacked a proper amount of butter and salt, but at least we had salt and peppers shakers to adjust to our liking. Same with the green beans, totally lacking in flavor. They had that warmed-up-straight-from-the-can-to-your-plate taste. The breading on the chicken was good and flavorful. The burgers were big, and the meat had good flavor. The fried were greasy and soggy. The waitress we had was unfriendly and unaccommodating at best. Obviously, we had never been there and didn’t know to seat ourselves, so we were yelled at from across the room to sit where we’d like. She came over to get our drink order and didn’t bother to greet us other than “What can I get ya to drink?” She was inattentive, our party of 5’s cups were empty several times and she never once got them refilled without us having to ask. She wasn’t friendly or helpful, and acted almost as if we were a burden to wait on. (Psst, that’s your job!) But at least you don’t go to a restaurant for the waitstaff. For a place that I keep giving the “at least” benefit, and I can whip up a meal of equivalence or better, we won’t be back.

It was very tasty home cooked meal. Serving was of generous size. I ordered the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans with Texas toast.. Tried the cherry cheese cake and even that did not disappoint.

I have been to local flavor a couple of times. We don’t get to eat there as much as we would like since we have to drive 45 minutes to get there. We have never been disappointed. We went there for my husbands birthday dinner recently and we ordered the fried pepper jack cheese cubes and they were AMAZING!!!!!! We also loved the chicken fried steak. We have loved everything we have tried. The walking taco is also really good. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Excellent food in huge portions, the right kinda onion rings (shoestrings, hand breaded). We got two apps and three entrees with different sides and shared, no one finished their meal, not even my big hungry hungry farm boy. Also the unsweetened tea was wonderful. My only regret was I didn’t have room for pie!

A great home cooked meal away from home. The food is just that as what your grandma would fix…worth the wait, price, and short drive down the road. When have you seen a small town eatery have Philadelphia Cream Cheese corn… no where..but Local Flavor does! My son loves going here just for that. Friendly service and great atmosphere. Some nights even has a live band! Can’t wait to visit their NEW restaurant in Branson, MO! They just recently got plastic to go cups… Love them!!!

My New Favorite place to relax from stressful day at work. The quality and quantity highly exceeded our expectations! The staff is friendly and welcoming and the menu offers reasonably priced savory meals. Save room for homemade pie !

Absolute outdoorZ
Stopped here midway through a motorcycle ride today. Wow! We loved it. Staff was very personable and friendly. Food was fantastic too! This place is a gem and will probably become a weekly stop for me once summer rolls around. Thanks ladies for a great experience today.
