First time visiting this location/restaurant. Very clean, great staff. Received good suggestions for choices to eat. Tried the Kalua pork and cabbage….also the BBQ mix which consists of combination of beef, chicken, and short ribs. Both dishes came with rice and macaroni salad. Will definitely visit again.

My friend is from the native lands and was very excited to share this comfort food with me. We drove over an hr to get there. There was a line so we assumed it was going to be good. They were out of EVERYTHING. The only options were fish or shrimp and very basic pork or beef. I am very unhappy with the experience. The person at the counter did not have anything to say about why they were out of the items not could they offer anything off the menu and we fumbled through five or six meal options and they were out of them all. Do not waste your time. The vegetables were obviously previously frozen…steamed and tasted like water. The beef was dry and very fatty. I would say get the pork and cabbage but I would not make a trip for it. Very dissatisfied.

I love L and L. The garlic shrimp is fresh and full of garlic. Probably my favorite shrimp dish in the area. The Mac salad is a guilty pleasure and they make good rice. Staff is friendly and while the restaurant isn’t fancy, it’s is clean and ell maintained.

Have been here a few times and have enjoyed the food. Really reminds me of the food in Honolulu. I recommend the BBQ mix plate combo if you are going here for the first time. Food is good and staff is friendly. I only gave 4 stars for the atmosphere cause the AC is having technical difficulties but maybe the heat is supposed to be the experience of Hawaii as well =).

The parking lot was busy, but I was able to find a parking spot quickly. Got greeted instantly upon entering. The lady running the front was multitasking and doing it well. She Greeted us, finished packing a to-go order, expedited a dine in order, and then patiently took our first time order. I was expecting the typical mainland “Hawaiian” food, but I was wrong. This place had a wide variety of food options and the taste was very similar to a typical island lunch plate. I was impressed with the service and the taste of the food. This will be our go to restaurant for Hawaii food in Houston from now. We had Garlic Shrimp, Short Ribs, and several different musubi.

Portions were generous making the prices a great deal. The chicken was really good. Cheeseburger was very filling and cooked well. I knocked a star off the rating because they waited until after I ordered and paid for a combo meal to tell me they were out of fries. So we got microwaved cauliflower and carrots instead of fries… kid was not happy and I don’t blame her.

I went there and ordered the spam musubi and when I got there no one was at the register for a long time. The lady was in the back having a long conversation with the cook. The musubi was packed with double the rice it should have had. And it’s one piece per order. This is what I got

Not sure that happened we usually love to make a stop when we are on that side of town, but it is over priced now. I order a two meat combo of pulled pork and ribs for 18.99. Usually it’s a good serving and for todays visit I had a very small scoop of pork and two very thin cut of ribs not even the full size. Not only that but the build was out of AC.
