I was so excited to eat here as I’ve been eating this all up the West Coast!!! But after arriving here it was such a downer as online photos are different, after placing my order and tasting it I feel into shock and disbelief that it tasted nothing like I’ve had before!!!! The food tasted totally different and felt like buffet food.

Friendly service, very clean, quiet. Can order ahead via an app, takeout or dine in. Good prices. Accepts cards or cash. I had the BBQ Chicken bowl which was tasty & filling. Another in our party got the Shrimp bowl but wouldn’t recommend as only had 4 shrimp in it. The SPAM Musubi was really good.

I’ve gone a few times and have never had a great meal. Something is always wrong or off. Mac salad just tastes like mayo and has no flavor. Katsu is always dried and is fried in what tastes like old or rancid oil. The chicken always tastes sour and like old crisco or something. Rice always is over cooked, and yes, I know what sticky rice is supposed to be like. I have always ordered over the phone and picked it up in person, and something is always missing or is not made when my order is said to be ready.

This place is the worst food I have had No flavor whatsoever. I got the beef curry. I should’ve known that it was going to be horrible when I couldn’t smell a hint of curry at all. It was a spicy bland beef stew. One half potato and a big hunk of carrot 3 tiny cubs of beef let’s not forget the soggy rice. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. I do believe if a true Hawaiian person went there they would never come back just like me.

I got the Kalua pork with cabbage, the cabbage was cooked fine and the pork was moist but it was missing some flavor such as bbq sauce or something. It had enough pork, but could have had more cabbage instead of two scoops of rice. Mac salad was okay.

We love the BBQ Chicken Plate! Flavorful, paired with 2 scoops of rice and the creamiest macaroni salad. One of our favorite “fast food” spots. 2 regular plates for about $20 makes it super affordable, too! If you’re being very careful in this pandemic then this place will make you feel very secure in their highly hygienic, no-touch, mask-required environment. Very little contact in our takeout transaction during this visit. Highly recommend for something different and tasty near Fort Drum!
