Walking in, you can feel the friendliness of the place. It is a small, very clean “hole-in-the-wall” type place. They serve both Carolina (vinegar based) and Lexington (vinegar with tomato). I’m not a fan of vinegar based sauces, but my husband liked it. The part of the bbq without sauce was delicious, and I wish I had gotten it without sauce. I got the plate that included coleslaw, baked beans, and yummy hush puppies. My husband enjoyed his salad that was topped with lots of chopped bbq

They don’t have any clue what BBQ is. One sauce and is extremely vinegar based. They also put slaw on sandwich which I can’t eat and nothing says they do that. Pricing is high. Cash only and fries are like little hard sticks . So my jumbo sandwich plate was basically not edible and they offered no resolution. Beware

I grew up eating at Little Pigs BBQ and never miss a chance to go when I am in Statesville. The barbecue is just as good now as it was back then. If you are in Statesville, don’t miss Little Pigs BBQ.

I love this barbecue place. I started going there in high school, back in the early seventies. A nostalgic part of Statesville. They have great barbecue, not to mention other menu choices… To wrap it up in one thought…Just good food and good people.

They promote Lexington style bbq and it’s not even close. It was the most bland bbq and bbq sauce I have ever had. The tomato on the hamburger sandwich was bigger than the piece of meat. The baked beans are straight out of the can with no seasoning. I don’t normally post reviews like this BUT for $60 for a family of four, it isn’t worth and it and maybe I can save someone from wasting their money.
