Little Mexico, us just that! Authentic Mexican food with a Thai flare and Iowan hospitality! The fusion of flavors like the Mango jalapeno shrimp, or the fresh salsa sever in a decanter, combines with the frescos on the wall were stunning.

Service was excellent and food came out quick. The steak in one of our meals didn’t seem to have much seasoning, and our shrimp was so overcooked it was hard to cut into it with a knife. The experience was still good enough, so we’ll go back and try it again and hopefully will have a better report on our meat next time.

Service was awesome. Food not so much it lacked flavor. The salsa and chips was the highlight of the meal. We didn’t even opt to take our leftovers. Hopefully it was an off day.

Great little place to have a bite of real authentic mexican food in Mt. Pleasant IA. The ambience here was very warm and homely. The owner introduced herself. She has been here for 20 years and going strong. I had the pleasure of having an evening meal of Tostadas and rice. My friend had the chicken Fajitas. The food was oooohh so good. The owner also gave a us her history of how she started the business. There is also a family portrait of the Owner “Ana” and her 2 sons painted on the wall. If ur ever passing through or just in Mt. Pleasant IA… Stop in and have some of the best Mexican dishes in the Midwest! U won’t be disappointed. Great job Little Mexico. I’ll be coming back!

Decent food, tight quarters for dining, atmosphere is nice though. Good selection for food and drinks

Great service, great food and great prices! We will definitely be back when we are in Mt. Pleasant!

The food at Little Mexico Restaurant is low quality Tex Mex. The chimichanga had soggy flour tortillas, the rice was dry with what appeared to be rehydrated peas. The owner would do well to visit Mexico and imitate real Mexican food.

Great authentic Mexican! My lime shrimp tacos were excellent. I’ll be back soon!!

Not quite sure why so much hate on this place. I’m from Chicago and have traveled everywhere throughout the country. I thought the food and service was excellent. The fresh clean tablecloths were a nice touch. We went to see the lights for Christmas and stopped in with the family. Glad we did.
