The food was excellent but I have to say that when the waitress brought our plates, she should have noticed that the portions were different. The two pieces of fish were so noticeably different it wasn’t even funny. One looked like a child’s portion the other looked like an adult portion. The chef never should have let them come out of the kitchen looking like that, especially being served to the same table

This review is based off of takeout … and it was pretty average. It looked like bar food thrown in a box which is what I asked for I suppose so I can’t be too upset. Potato skins were good. Wings were tiny, only a few and pretty dry. Fish and chips were a good portion but the flavor was pretty meh. I am hoping like other places dining in has better results.

Wow!! We love this place. Always great, friendly service and excellent food, even when very busy. Never had a single problem with anything here and we go at least once a week! They have really terrific weekly specials and their prices are very good. The owner is a wonderful person and you can tell she takes pride in her restaurants. When all the remodeling work is done upstairs, downstairs is already finished, the place will be one of the best(if not the best) in town. We USED to go to another place around the corner but after coming here we never went to that other place again. We can’t wait for the new bar and dining area to open so we once again can enjoy our night out at the Lions Den! Go, you will not be disappointed.

This was a great restaurant until they remodeled. The food went from great to bad, service is bad, food has been served cold and over cooked, acoustics are so bad that you can’t have a conversation. We ate here every week and will be looking for someplace else to eat.

Incredible atmosphere and decorations, even more phenomenal staff. Our server was AWESOME I visited with my brother and we drove up about 45 minutes because the menu looked awesome, and it did not disappoint! We got a bunch of appetizers this time because we couldn’t decide. We will be back again!

Lions den is a surprisingly successful spot for how new the business is. The owners, however, are clearly not new to the restaurant business. With a great menu selection, always delicious desserts, and friendly wait staff at your service, the lions den is great whether a date for two (although it can be a bit noisy), or even a family event/party! My only poor review goes to the bar menu. It has improved over time, but the drinks are a bit bland, and terribly inconsistent. I have no doubt this will be remedied with time.

We keep trying this place hoping they’ll get their “stuff” together, but from our first visit years ago to our likely last visit tonight, the same issue exists: absolutely atrocious service. We sat at our table FOR AN HOUR waiting for the appetizer to arrive. AN HOUR for nachos. All while watching tables who arrived 30 min after us eating happily. An hour and ten minutes passed before our appetizer finally arrived. And wouldn’t you know it? Four minutes later our meals arrived. The poor waitress was on the verge of tears, apologizing profusely for the kitchen. It’s really too bad, the food is always excellent and the atmosphere is great. It’s just the kitchen dragging the place down; for years. The owner was on premises tonight and took the fairly cowardly route of sending her poor waitresses out to deal with upset patrons. Seems this could be indicative of the root of the issue. Stear clear of this place unless you’ve got hours to waste.
