The food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The owner and the servers are sooo friendly. Hands down the best authentic taiwanese food in the area. Definitely order their sausage (made in their own kitchen). The oyster omelette was the bomb!

Yep, authentic Taiwanese indeed. Love this spot! Such a gem. The sausage is so good. Chef recommended steamed sea bass and baked oysters. SUPER GOOD and so glad I got them. Haven’t had baked oysters this good for a long time. Steamed fish is really fresh and they brought out the flavor of the ingredients so well.

A gem across the street from the Hyatt regency, lins palace was a wonderful experience for my friend and I. We visited on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and were pleasantly greeted by our host John. I’ll preface this review with – at every dish brought to our table John was in lock step with us. Giving great recommendations and seamlessly weaving friendly chatter about our families and telling us about his illustrious 50 year career in food. We started with the pork and Szechuan soup – lightly pickled veg, greens, and thin sliced pork in a savory broth. Following soup, we would try the homemade Taiwanese sausage served with sliced garlic – brilliant homemade flavor! For entree I don’t know how but John knew I wanted traditional Cantonese steamed fish with scallion and ginger and he did not disappoint. A large sea bass arrived at our table and it was perfect in every way! For a vegetable we ordered bok choy that was far from authentic and tasted like it was covered in butter – this was not the veg I had in mind and I didn’t care for it however my lunch mate enjoyed it. John also brought us some off the menu tomato salad with tomatos grown in his own garden. Fresh and bright and a lovely accompaniment to our fish. I enjoyed the food and company very much. 4 stars from me since I didn’t think the vegetable was cooked properly and while the decor lent to the character of the restaurant it could be a bit tidier and cleaner. Thanks John!

This restaurant emphasizes its Taiwanese cuisine. Indeed, they offer a lot of Taiwanese famous dishes in addition to normal Chinese cuisine. How did it taste? Well, from what I ordered: pork intestines braised with Taiwanese sauerkraut, seafood noodle soup, Taiwanese sausage fried rice and deep fried Tofu. The taste is pretty traditional…. They also have at least 2 different styles of stinky Tofu. If you like Taiwanese cuisine, this is the place you don’t want to miss….

After reading all the great reviews, I was excited to try this place, but I was severely disappointed by the flavor and quality. The food here was not good, we ordered bamboo and pork as well as beef and green peppers and both dishes were severely lacking in meat. the fish we got tasted not fresh and had a very fishy smell. we ordered multiple chicken dishes and they were dry and lacking in flavor. The only things that were semi decent were the garlic fried rice (which still had big chunks of garlic) and the egg roll, which you can get at any Chinese place. If you’re looking for good Taiwanese food, there are many other options that are better.
