We stopped by late on Sunday morning. We were seated quickly. Our server took our drink order and brought chips and salsa right away. I had the Mushroom Quesadilla which was delicious. My husband had the Cheese enchiladas. For dessert we had the Chocolate Churro which was amazing. Seating is a little tight, tables are very close together, but otherwise a great experience

I thought the food was excellent. More authentic Mexican food than most places. My girlfriend had the chile relleno and loved it. I had a wet burrito and enjoyed it. We weren’t as pleased with our margaritas. To me, a couple of the true tests of a good Mexican place is how good their chips & salsa and rice & beans are, all of which were delicious. Highly recommend. They have 3 different seating areas, which get progressively quieter the further you go into the restaurant. Little pricey, but worth it for the quality of food.

This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. A bunch of us got together to celebrate a friend’s birthday and despite it being a Friday night they seated us quickly. The Margaritas were excellent and the food was great with large portions.

Casa Trejo has been a fixture in Southern Yucaipa for decades. A few years ago, daughter Linda Trejo bought the place from her parents and added her moniker to the name. It is located in a small shopping center on County Line Road, a block north of 5th Street. There are three rooms of tables inside with very limited patio dining. The menu has all the standard Mexican fare and a separate, full bar is available. I am here almost every Wednesday because, bucking the “Taco Tuesday” trend, Casa Trejo features $2.95 tacos on Wednesday’s. I always place the same order — the waitresses even know my order by heart: One each shredded beef, shredded chicken, & ground beef taco’s ($8.85), a full order of rice ($8.49), a cup of frijoles de la oja ($7.99), and a large iced tea with lemon wedge ($3.99). The taco’s are prepared in the traditional way: Meat and tortilla deep fried, then garnished with twin cheese and shredded lettuce. Chips and salsa are served at no extra charge. (A word about the salsa: It is extremely spicy and they do not offer a mild version.) The waitresses are extremely friendly and hard-working here, so be sure to tip generously. Linda’s Casa Trejo Mexican Food is Highly Recommended.

Casa Trejo is a great sit down for good Mexican Food. I would say it’s one of the better ones in the area. Seating can take a while and service staff is always nice but can be slower.

More like American Mexican food: cheese, hard shell tacos, etc. Tasty, though. Wait staff seemed like they were on it. It was a little disappointing because I was looking for more traditional Mexican, and the prices are up there. Can’t complain, though. I enjoyed my meal.

They are pricey but food is great. Salsa is bomb and they haven’t decreased portions however they did add a 3% surcharge on all checks to help with increase in food costs. Their lunch specials are the best deal to get. Def recommended.
