Peruvian food at Lima cocina + cantina was our last meal in Hawaii before heading back home. When we got there during lunch time, the place was very empty and there were a handful of people seated at the bar table. From the looks of it and after chatting with our server we learned that they have live DJs on the weekends. Their indor dining space is very modern, with cool artwork and plants hanging on the wall. They also got a small sofa/ lounge section in one of the corners with a cool quote on the wall in the background.

Unpretentious, yet thoughtful food and drinks with immaculate vibes and awesome staff. Lima is a must-visit if you’re on Maui, and it won’t break the bank. The Pisco Punch was incredible: a slushy summertime take on a Peruvian classic, it was both complex and boozy but incredibly easy to down. We also had the ceviche mixto with calamari and the mango quinoa bowl. It was all delicious. Luckily, we’re staying in town because we WILL be back. Shout out to Owen for being rad; if you see him, encourage him to try kite surfing 🙂 EDIT: We came back! The arroz con pollo is REALLY damn good. I was blown away (see pic), and also needed another Pisco Punch (also see pic). We will be back AGAIN!

Lima has tasty and beautiful food in a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the ceviche clasico and calamari as well as chatting with the bartender Eduardo. The Causa Limeña was just spicy enough, next time we’ll order it with chicken. The vegetarian option (with quinoa) was good but we’d prefer a bit more flavor than quinoa can offer. These two appetizer’s were plenty for a two-person light lunch. We will definitely drive across island again to dine at Lima. We’ll also order the ceviche to go!

I discovered Lima about a year ago, a little after they opened. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is also really good! We met Javier and he was very friendly and gave us some recommendations.

Wow! What a great place! I’m Peruvian, and it’s a rarity for a Peruvian place to have such authentic, delicious flavors so far from home.

Absolutely yummy food. We had a party of 5 and weren’t super hungry. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, the ceviche trio with the calamari addition, Ceviche Clásico & the Aji de Gallina.

It was the best last lunch on Maui before heading back. We ordered Ceviche mixto twice! We had shared en entree , which was fantastic, but we still wanted another round of ceviche!

Great lunch spot in Paia for a walk-in group with high-end shareable Peruvian dishes. Ceviche is really flavorful. Mahi Mahi was beautifully cooked. Definitely recommend the noodle dish and order a side of white rice to eat all the goodness sauce. I loved the pisco sours and the hbw beers.

Great atmosphere and location. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. After living in Peru for several years, I’m incredibly picky when it comes to Peruvian food and have been wishing for a peruvian restaurant on Maui for a long time. The flavors of the dishes were great, as were the presentations. I was very pleased with everything we ordered. Maui has been long overdue for some Peruvian cuisine. Lima Cocina + Cantina is a big step in the right direction of filling that void.
