This place is fantastic. Very small hole in the wall joint with very limited seating. Extensive pasta menu and very well priced with sizeable portions. Don’t know what exactly I got because I asked the guy to give me his favourite dish but it was amazing.

This place is fantastic. The food reminds me of my fathers cooking, who is also has a small italian restaurant. The flavors blend together and the pasta is great quality. You just walk in and grab a seat. I highly recommend everyone try Lillo. Although Id love to keep it a hidden gem, id deserves all the hype, especially with its prices. We got the Fettucine with Speck and Carciofi and the Fettucine with Speck and Zucchine.

My wife and I stopped by for a some of the best Italian food we ever had. This cute hole in the wall had a small seating area that we were lucky to grab the last table. The chicken and meatballs with pasta was fresh and melted away with every bite. Highly recommend this place for those looking for excellent food at an affordable price. PS this place is cash only.

Cash only and a small place – there’s only 5 tables inside. One of the most genuine Italian restaurants I’ve been to. They perfectly prepared the clams so they didn’t have sand in them which is pretty hard to do. Everything was great. Got hot chocolate to go. Seems like they make a lot of things from scratch.

Just like an Italy, where you can walk into a nameless storefront and have one of the best meals of your life, Lillo delivers proper and classic dishes that make you feel like you’re being fed by a Nonna. His forte are the Roman pastas, and his desserts, as he hails from Rome and is an accomplished baker and chef. Even his sandwiches are second to none. Every meal here is a feel-good experience.

Okay. Lillo is my favorite place in NYC to eat, and now also my favorite Italian food across the entire United States of America. I’ve eaten at many places, with many different levels of fanciness and quality. Lillo has hole-in-the-wall vibes, homemade deliciousness, and the owner himself serves the food and drinks. The food takes you out of the city and into culinary heaven. The taste and care put into each dish is deserving of at least a Michelin star. Will absolutely be back, many more times.

A very authentic Italian cuisine. It is a little place but one of those lovely places that you can just find in NYC.

Hole in a wall place, recommend by a friend. Best pasta in the city! Small, quiet place with a variety of pastas to choose from! The owner asks your specific taste and even customises the pasta. This time we had a simple cacio pepe and pasta Arrabbiata. They had one egg free dessert which was delicious and the tiramisu was outstanding!

High quality home style Italian food, seating is very limited but it got nice vibe. Serving time could be compromised due to the kitchen usually is overloaded by take out order. Tiramisu is amazing.
