The best Thai food I’ve had in New Haven. Pas thai is a must, though Tom kha soup was watered down and was a bit disappointing. It was definitely worth going out of the way to try it out. The owner is super friendly and helpful in choosing the menu. Food comes out promptly, and everything is flavored well. The only caveat is that the restaurant was out of few menu options, including mango sticky rice, which was a shame. When the restaurant started getting crowded, the service started to drag too, since it seems to be operated by maybe 3 people total. Overall, a wonderful restaurant.

This place is the reason why we drive from Boston to NYC instead of taking the train. One of the top restaurants I have ever been to, and we love to go out. Do not miss this place. The Pad Thai is so fresh and savory. The soups are divine as are the curries. The Terrace Curry is an experience from another universe for those who dare.

I would never in good will recommend this restaurant to anyone. This is by far the worst thai food i have ever tried in my life. Up till this point i have never had “bad” thai food but this is just god awful. My drunken noodles were literally dry with no sauce… how is there not any sauce on drunken noodles.. that’s literally the whole point. I honestly took 4 bites of the food and had to toss out the rest it was just that terrible. Please if you enjoy thai food never try this place and i promise you won’t regret it. I normally don’t even write reviews but I have to make sure no one else wastes their hard earned money on this food.

This is the only authentic Thai food in this region, and among the very few in the United States. I’ve only had a few Thai meals comparable to Terrace, and those were either at high-end restaurants in Thailand, or really excellent street food in Bangkok back in the 90s.

Great service, beautiful food presentation, perfect portions and absolutely delicious. Only minus is the atmosphere. Dining room is small and you can see a lot of stuff (dish towels, supplies piled up against the back wall). Outside sign and building needs painting (to attract more people!). But I’ll totally look past the rough spots and keep going back for the wonderful food!

We think Thai food at the Terrace is the best in the New Haven area. Amy, French trained Chef/owner, uses very good ingredients and the quality is always excellent. Specials can be creative and unusual.

THE.BEST.THAI.IN.CONNECTICUT. I have been to so many Thai restaurants and they are fine, but The Terrace stands alone in its quality and flavors. I just found out Jeff and Amy are selling some of their sauces. I can’t wait to try mine.

amazing. They have fabulous food and great service. Be prepared for a truly spicy meal though. If you are at all worried about spice, order a “mild” dish. I always order “spicy” at thai restaurants and my friend talked me into to getting medium at “The Terrace.” I’m glad I did. It was appropriately spicy and very tasty. Apparently they have their thai chili peppers delivered by DHL straight from their family’s farm in Thailand!

Excellent food and service. Particularly good are: spicy beef salad, terrace curry, duck green curry and tamarin fish. Definite worth a visit!

Family run restaurant, excellent food. You can get one of the hottest traditional Thai dishes here if you dare.
