I ate here about a year ago when I was visiting family and really enjoyed the Kitfo sandwich so was looking forward to eating here when I came back in August 2023. I went there yesterday to eat with my family and was quite shocked at how much the place and service has deteriorated. There is a terrible smell and the toilets are very dirty. The whole place needs a good clean. We ordered our food which wasn’t that complicated but the waitress only brought two of the orders and two were missing. We waited and waited but nothing came so one of us went to the counter and asked where the rest of the order was. She came to the table and asked what we were missing. We explained and apparently the two other orders weren’t put through. She asked us if we still wanted it. We said yes we do but we won’t be paying for the orders that were not brought to us. Another waitress came over with an attitude and was trying to argue with us even though it was their mistake. No apology other than it was because the waitress was a trainee. The owners of this restaurant please ensure your waitresses are trained well in customer service. In other restaurants if this kind of situation arose, the first thing the manager would do is apologise and say we will bring the food straight away and won’t charge you for it. Not here. The waitress wants to argue with the customer. Please owners of Ethiopian restaurants take note. Customer service is part of growing your business. I for sure won’t be returning nor will my family.

Eat here every time we are in the area. Coffee is wonderful. Love the vegetarian platter. I always add beef tibs. Had my first breakfast platter a few weeks ago and now Im hooked. Clean and pleasant environment!!! Totally worth trying.

This place is wildly inconsistent. I have been here several times. The food ONCE was amazing however the last time I came here I brought family and it was god awful. The injera was dry and crumbling, they charged us $13 for this inedible injera. The service was slow and the waitress was very inattentive. The portions were way less than normal. The tibs had very little flavor. They charged us a 20% service fee, which was not specified, and we did not know so we paid a tip on top of this. The water is gross here, it is clearly unfiltered. Ontop of this, the place itself is filthy with roaches in the hallway next to the front bar/coffee area and the bathroom. I really was ashamed to bring my family from out of town here. Towards the end of the meal there was a homeless man begging in the restaurant and who I assume to be a family member of the owner started shouting at the man which made for a very tense atmosphere. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone for any reason.

Extremely delicious meat options, but the veggie platter was lacking. We appreciated the amount of veggies options included in the platter, but the taste was very poor compared to other Ethiopian restaurants in immediate the area.
