If I could give zero stars I would. The absolute worst food I have ever bought from this Leo’s and the manger was anything far from understanding and nice. Also the amount of grim and dirt in that establishment is nasty, especially after working in the restaurant industry for 7 years, and knowing the standards you should have for a clean BOH & FOH.

I’ve been a customer for years, no more. I ordered a small greek salad with romaine and extra chickpeas instead of olives to go. I think they took one slice of a beet and diced it up, same with the tomato and cucumber. I asked them to make sure there was a good amount of feta since the last time I had carried out and got home I felt that there was very little feta for the size of the salad. Same issue today. I am willing to pay their increased prices, but I expect to get a fair amount of food. The place also looked dirty. Never again.

Should have read the reviews, ordered the Chicken & Waffles because they were on special, specifically asked about the portion and was told generous size. You tell me that, these little pieces that if you pieced together, wouldn’t make one wing, is a generous portion. $11.99 for these little pieces and one waffle. Got me this time but there won’t be another.

Ordered a carry out today, was disgusted by the chicken lemon rice… it tasted old and bitter. As if they used bad lemons .

My husband I dined at this particular Leo’s today for breakfast. It was noon and somewhat busy. The food was NOT good, particularly the grits which were clearly watered down and very lumpy. This was the second time that the grits were so disgusting. It makes me wonder if these were old grits saved from previous day watered down like they were freshly made. We did not get toast that was ordered. The server never came back to our table. My husband the server’s attention and asked for water and mentioned that we never got our toast. She brought us one serving of toast and never bought the water. He got up, found her and reminded her that had asked for water. I doubt that we will be dining there again.

Whenever I come home to Michigan, I always get Coney Island. I’ve never had a problem with this store until today. I guess the kids working there thought it would be funny to give a paying customer the smallest wings and a handful of fries for almost $13. I had a very long drive from Boston and was starving so I ate the wing dings before thinking of taking a picture of how measly they were. I did take a picture of the fries though. This isn’t even funny. You can literally see the bottom of the container because there’s so few fries in the container. What I received wasn’t $7 worth, let alone $13 worth.

My go to breakfast place when we do our monthly doctor’s visit. Usually I get the same dish (Country Omelette) and every time I’m stuffed and satisfied. One of the better and consistent Coney Islands around.

First and last time for sure. Food was not great at all, dry and looked old. I love garlic and did not enjoy the gyro sauce was watery and strong garlic taste. Restaurant was dirty but the Waitress was great and very nice.

Leo’s has been my favorite coney island since they were Southfield coney island in the 70s and now it’s sad to say, that like most places these days, customer service is not important. I can tell you that to order dinner for 3 people w/dessert and to take it to a nursing home only to realize something is missing pretty much ruins the rest of the experience especially after being told I must come back into the store, whether I wanted the item replaced or my card refunded. I see no reason the refund couldn’t be done over the phone if they’re already a business equipped to deal with electronic transactions. I couldn’t pick up and leave and there was no point in going back the next day. I live nowhere in the area and visit only weekly.
