The food was pretty good, but way overpriced for the amount we got. I didn’t realize until our server discussed the menu with us that this restaurant focused on small plates. We had the hush puppies, crab fingers, spicy peaches, and poached snapper.

We decided to visit Lenoir to celebrate my wife’s recent job success, and we had a great time! The wine selection was fantastic, and the vibrant ambiance added more enjoyment to our evening. We tried the stracchino toast, the blue corn + pecan hushpuppies, and the tempting special of the day: fried chicken.

Underrated gem in Austin. Never had a bad meal here; chef Duplachen is doing great work on both food and the wine offerings. Most recently went for Saturday HH and had the oysters, blue corn hush puppies, crab fingers, bruleed peaches with hatch chili granita, and the grilled summer squash salad (on the regular dinner menu). Also had the corn churro dessert. Absolutely loved the hush puppies, peaches, and squash.

I had an excellent first-time dining experience at Lenoir this past weekend! This restaurant is charming and teeny tiny, (the wine garden which is just a cement patio behind the restaurant has more tables than the actual restaurant) and it is very casual (think mixed matched metal patio tables and some missing pavers) but the service was *excellent*, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful + the food was very unique & tasty. A lot of restaurants in Austin all serve the same items, but I tried some new things at Lenoir. PLUS they have an under-advertised happy hour until 6:30pm where you can get 1/2 priced bottles of wine and discounted cocktails, beers & some discounted apps. I loved the crab claws!! Check out their website for the happy hour menu because they will not print it/bring to the table. I will definitely return.

What a bad experience. It was my birthday and look what they got for a birthday treat. Cheap.

We ordered the 5 course meal for $78pp + $63pp wine pairing. We usually go for cheap eats so this was a splurge and it was well worth it ☺️

first time in austin and we had lenoir for our anniversary dinner. we had the chef’s choice dinner + wine pairings. gia was an amazing server– she was versed in all of the flavors, pairings, wine history, all of it. she made everything feel perfect and made sure we had everything we needed. we also cannot explain how amazing the food was– everything worked so well together! lovely presentation. overall it was genuinely an experience instead of just a meal. we will definitely be back to austin if only for lenoir. thank you to lenoir, the chef, and especially to gia! this restaurant is second to none.

We had dinner at Lenoir and found the restaurant decor to be crisp and modern. (We were seated in the main dining room). In addition to the tables, they have nice bar seating that you can reserve. The service was excellent! Our waiter was friendly and had a very calming demeanor. He was able to walk us through the menu, describing each dish in detail, while helping us navigate a diary allergy. He worked with the kitchen to ensure our meal choices were safe. Very comforting. The dishes were tasty, but we felt some — blistered peppers, crab fingers, and the grilled & chilled summer squash — were overly dressed with the sauces. The star of the night was the beef wantons! So good that we ordered a second dish. We also enjoyed the pullman bread and honey crisp apple salad. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. The wait staff made us feel very comfortable, but the food was a little underwhelming.

My husband took me here for my birthday! We ordered the snapper collars, compressed watermelon, and crab fingers. Everything was delicious and the wait staff gifted me a birthday card with a wine voucher which I thought was very sweet. The atmosphere was ambient and intimate, ideal for a date night. The reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the portions were quite small considering the price. We were still hungry when we left, so I would only recommend this place if you’re going for drinks and apps, not a meal (unless you’re willing to order a lot of food).

The combination of flavors this chef has achieved is so special. The simplest of ingredients have been transformed into amazing dishes! I particularly enjoyed the braised rabbit spaghetti but everything was so good! Their menu likely changes seasonally and would be fun to try at different times all throughout the year. The wine selection looked great but we enjoyed trying some different vermouths.
