Overall I had a great time and enjoyed the food with the family. There are a couple things that could have been better such as the leche de tigre. Don’t recommend it in this place. Leche de tigre was warm and the onions were diced not julienne. I also had the tallarines saltados con mariscos which was ok. Portions were great and pricing was on point. Jalea was on the dry side and did not come with enough salsa criolla. Servers were extremely nice and welcoming. Will definitely come back but not for the seafood.

I came here with my dad one Saturday because he swears Leña makes the best ceviche in NJ. Me, not being a seafood person, decided to order the tacu tacu con churrasco instead. I expected a typical churrasco— skirt steak. But I got a large T-bone steak instead. It was HUGE. I’m not a fan of t-bones so I didn’t finish my meal. The waitress explained to me that this is what a churrasco is for Peruvians. I’m Peruvian, I may not look it, but I’ve never understood a churrasco to be a T-bone steak. Even if that is the case, they shouldn’t write “skirt steak” on their menu because it’s kind of misleading. Anyway, I give 3 stars because my dad really enjoyed his ceviche so he’ll definitely be back.

Not what I expected, I ordered lomo de Carne and chicken chaufa with 1/4 carbon chicken, the roasted chicken was ok the chicken was not very clean found feathers attached, the chaufa rice was hard, tasted mixed with old and new rice with minimal amount of chicken. Really terrible, Also the lomo was all fries and onions with a lil bit of meat and I ordered with white rice it came with chaufa rice. Definitely will not ever order from here again. Also they are over priced with minimal amount of food. The only thing I ate and was up to par was the tostones, Very disappointed. Not what I expected after reading the positive reviews. Trust me I’m not one to make negative reviews, but this I had to.

This IS our GO-TO #1 restaurant to come as a family. We love the service, they treat us like family. The ambience is springy and uplifting. They play mostly Hispanic hits and Peruvian music.

Awesome Peruvian restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The best Lomo and Chafua around. We usually order from Grubhub and they never disappoint. The food always arrives hot and fresh. This is our favorite location. I highly recommended this place. Prices are very reasonable.

We had dinner in this location this Saturday night, in spite of the Rona situation, we arrived and with in minutes we where seated. I ordered a Papa huancaina, it’s a boiled potatoe with a house Peruvian sauce that is out of the world. I also ordered a mix Ceviche with Fried plantains. I was very happy with the food, it was tasty, my wife and daughters where also very happy with the food. The fried rice, the grill chicken and fried fish it was all good. My girls where all happy with dinner tonight. I definitely recommend this place if you are craving some decent and delicious Peruvian cuisine.

Best Leña in the area. The food is always amazing and the staff is great every time! I think I have been to 4 other Leñas and this one tops them all. The Tallarines Verdes con Churrasco is on point! Highly recommend!

Incredible and truly authentic Peruvian flavor. Highly recommended. If you seek Peruvian food in the area, go for Lena y Carbon! I enjoyed the seafood Sudado which features a wet or soupy bottom, sauteed onions, large potato, and fish! The rice comes on a separate plate but I must emphasize the genuine Peruvian recipe. 100% 10/10 ⭐
