Came here for a weekend dinner with friends and I had a really good time. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very nice. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. We started with some appetizers and got hummus, tabbouleh, and their house pita bread with garlic for the table. The hummus and garlic were great and I would definitely order it again. As for the tabbouleh it was okay, but needed more of everything to it to make it better. As for the main entrees we had the chicken tawook/kabob and the mixed grill. I was a bit disappointed as the meats were a bit dry and lacked some flavor. Overall, the restaurant is good, and a good option for a night out.

I recently celebrated my friend’s birthday at Leila restaurant, and it turned out to be quite the experience. Being of Lebanese descent, we had high expectations for the Lebanese cuisine offered here. We had heard mixed reviews regarding the food and pricing, but we were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the food.

A group of colleagues and I went here for dinner during a recent conference trip. Beautiful spot, great service, and the food was amazing. We ordered all shareable plates so I felt like I really got a taste of their wide range. I got the ‘Beirut’ cocktail and loved it even though I’m more of a wine/beer person. I would 100% recommend visiting.

For the most part there are two types of Middle Easterner restaurants, the over flavored spots where you pretty much are committed to food which needs an aftertaste cleanser to bring quiet your taste buds or those that are more subtle and rely on ingredients to keep the lights on. Laila is one of those places where the food and flavors hit the right spots. The mixed grill was enough for two people. The baba was probably the best I had. The tabbouli was fresh but lacked lemon and oil and felt dry. The ambience harkened to old Beirut during the golden age. Overall a very positive experience.

Leila offers an exquisite Lebanese dining experience that truly exceeds expectations. The moment you step inside, the attention to detail in both the interior design and the food is evident. We savored the Muhammara, Eggplant Fettah, and Shish Tawook, all beautifully prepared and presented. The service was exceptional, with our server attentively catering to our every need. During the summer, securing a patio table is a must, as it allows you to bask in the beauty of Capitol Park. I can’t wait to return and explore more delights from their enticing menu. Leila is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a delightful and elevated culinary journey.

Our host was very nice. But given the prices, the food was mediocre, it was not bad at all, it was good but the prices are so high that I expected sth perfect and different, sth that I can’t get in other 100+ Mediterranean restaurants in Detroit area. A little disappointing, Leila!

I cannot wait to go back to Leila! We had an amazing time- fantastic drinks, food and service. We had multiple drinks, all which were delicious. Along with the beets & feta, hummus, and the sampler of various meats, rice, and veggies. If you are wondering if you should check this restaurant out- do it. It was a beautiful restaurant.

Leila is good. So good that we ate our meal on the patio in the rain. Leila had been recommended by some coworkers. We ordered the ribs, shish tawook, spicy potatoes and hummus. I can confidently say the hummus was the best we’ve ever had. Right as we got our food it started to POUR rain. Everyone evacuated the patio area, but we toughed it out to eat our dinner. The server and staff were incredibly nice, but they don’t control the weather. They offered to comp our dinner (which they didn’t need to do). We will be back! To hopefully enjoy dinner without the rain.

Overall a solid restaurant. Great ambiance, staff and location.. the food was fantastic, great mezze, drinks and dessert. If I had to pick an area of improvement was the meat. It was very good but didn’t have that grill or char flavour that you would expect. Overall, I really enjoyed this place and definitely worth checking out when you are in Detroit.
