Stopped in for an early 5pm dinner after a meeting in the area on a Saturday. The atmosphere of the place was cozy, beautifully decorated and I was seated right away by the friendly hostess. I ordered the soft shell crab and the scallops off their specials menu. The soft shell crab was served in a creamy Dijon sauce with capers and fried crispy. I was told it was from the Yucatan and was classified as “whale” size as it was quite large. Next was the scallops, which were again in a creamy sauce (jalapeño) not spicy at all, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It would have been a really good dish had the scallops been nicely seared off however they were not and were a tad chewy though they weren’t overcooked. I expected better for $36. Would however return to try other dishes !! Rose champagne by the glass was delicious.

We love Lefty’s. I was told not to review it from my boyfriend because he wants it to remain our secret (he was a joking) but if you read the reviews, you’ll see we are not the only ones who love Lefty’s. Service is always great! Ate a 20 oz lobster that was perfectly cooked. Love the shrimp cocktail and the crab appetizer. Shared a nice bottle of wine. The place is cozy, a great place for a romantic evening! I should add that they have an amazing creme brulee and Irish coffee! We will be back!!!

Awesome atmosphere. Very old school feel. Sat at the bar for a few drinks before dinner. Had oysters, crab claws, baked stuffed lobster, and pan-fried lobster. The food and service were excellent. Definitely recommend checking it out.

I was there at 4pm when they opened for dinner. It was not busy and the food came out hot and cooked correctly. I didn’t wait long and the lobster was tender and sweet. The 2-lb whole lobster was more than enough and came with a baked potato and a vegetable.

My sister had her bday dinner here – party of 12 and 2 little kids. First the food- the table was about 75/25 on the dishes they liked. We personally had the clam chowder for an appetizer- delicious and full of lots of clams. But it got really gritty at the bottom. I’d eat it again though! I had the large scallops that were on their special dinner menu and they were great! Had a beautiful sauce with capers and tomatoes. Perfectly cooked! My 6 yr old had the salmon (sauce on the side) and are the entire fish and wanted more. Broccoli was a little tough, and the baked potato was small, nothing special. The kids Chicken fingers were really good and the fries were good. We finished our meal with the warm Kahlua chocolate cake a la mode and it was wonderful!!

Had an amazing Mother’s Day/ Graduation day experience at Lefty’s. I have a family of picky eaters and it is always a struggle to find places that satisfy everyone’s particular taste. To my surprise, Lefty’s did the trick. My father (the graduate) loved his Lobster, and my mother thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed snapper, while I have never seen my grandma eat so quickly (she had the lobster bisque). EVEN the dessert was delicious (we ordered the key lime pie, the cheesecake, and the coconut cream pie). The service was lovely as well. It is very rare when you find both good service and good food (especially once restaurants become popular) but Lefty’s did the trick. WOULD recommend to anyone. Thanks for the wonderful experience!!!

The food was terrible. Just like someone chewed a piece of lobster with mashed potato and threw it up on a plate. I have no idea if the people leaving 5 star reviews have ever had decent food. Maybe it’s amazing if you don’t have teeth, no wonder all the customers were 60+.
