Service was great, very friendly and food came out quick. Fried Chicken was bland but very well cooked, juicy and crunchy breading. Sides were basic but tasty. Very old restaurant. Onion rings are more like onion straws that came piled in a bowl, but they were good after we added a little salt. Overall, I would only go back if I was in a pinch to get done good quick.

I came here with seven friends after we went to the ice cream place across the roundabout. We were seated promptly, and were served by Emaud. Let’s just say, he was on . I ordered a cheeseburger because it was necessary for the review. I asked for a “hamburger with cheese” (as per the menus format) but Emaud came with the “Do you want cheese on your cheeseburger?”. Everyone laughed, and I felt like an idiot. Point Emaud. I tested him with my quips throughout the experience, and he kept one upping me. Fair play Emaud.

I lived in Lincoln growing up and never went to Lees. Moving back here now I talked my husband into going. We arrived around 4 ish, they were not busy and Nadine waited on us. Had to wait awhile for order, which was fine. But, then didn’t see much of her after that. She brought us a ticket which wasn’t even ours. Took her 10 minutes to see we were trying to get her attention. All she said was “oh, it’s not yours”. We asked for a go box. Ten minutes later she came back with our correct check but no to go box. Had to remind her again. Another 7 minute wait for that. Probably will not be back.

The atmosphere may not be to everyone’s taste, but we loved it! I doubt it has changed since it was built. (50s or 60s) The food and service were awesome. The waiter was fun. The bartender was definitely old school and the drinks were also awesome. If we weren’t from out of town, we’d be regulars for sure!

It was a rather disappointing experience. First was the service, I went with my toddler first and there was no one else waiting. The waitress made eye contact with me twice, but did not come close to seat us. After 10 minutes I finally walked up to another waiter and told him we need to be seated. Right after that two guys came in and the waitress seated them immediately.

I am going to apologize now for this lengthy review; however, I want to share my complete experience in hopes that any and all readers will understand why I gave this establishment one star.

I came for the memories~ but I stayed for the tunes~ the dinner delightful as much as the room~ the staff aimed to please which is important today~ I tipped the piano and service thirty and change. The statue stands for achievement above the buffalos range. Keep this jewel standing. An appreciative Traveller.

I’ve been going here most of my life, most recently last night. Service was pleasant and prompt. I tried the tastee’s for the first time and enjoyed them. My wife and son both had chicken and it was excellent as always. The kind gentleman playing the piano even took a request from my two year old for twinkle twinkle and he really enjoyed it. The chicken here really is the best in town, and the atmosphere hasn’t changed, except for the West end of the restaurant that was damaged in the tornado and remodeled. This is a real deal chicken shack, not a fancy restaurant, so manage your expectations.

This was my Grandma’s favorite place. We would drive from Omaha every time she had a craving…lol. Amazing food.

Food was ok. I took a guest from out of town there to experience the legendary chicken I’ve heard about. He did not like the chicken. Tiny little kinda dry pieces. I had chicken fried steak which was ok; a bit tough, baked potato and salad. My dinner said it came with two sides. Not sure why my dinner salad cost another 1.50 more. We were pleasantly surprised to find a lady playing the piano and enjoyed it
