Our doors opened in 1976 at the Historic Kentucky Military Institute Building. Residents and visitors alike have raved about Le Petit Jardin’s distinctive European style fare and unique bistro atmosphere. After fourteen years of growth and success Le Petit Jardin had outgrown its original space. With a vision and plan to maintain the café’s original concept and authentic recipes, we relocated the café, to its current home at the Galleria on Venice Avenue in 2010. The design incorporates the old world feel with modern amenities that makes Le Petit Jardin one of Venice’s most unique and pleasurable dining experiences.
We welcome you to relax and allow our staff to make this a most enjoyable dining experience!

Amazing breakfast find! Our family of 6 enjoyed the Delacroix, French toast, Cassatt, croissant sandwich, and fruit. Excellent service and food. Thank you!

Gem of a restaurant, took my wife for Mothers Day and we were both impressed. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable staff, food was excellent. Posted pictures on Facebook and fellow worker from SMH Venice went their with her husband and they both enjoyed it

Oh my word! I was blown away at this place. It is the perfect little get away for lunch. I was captivated by its quaintness and delicate appeal. I felt like I was transported to Paris (I’ve never been but this is what I imagined a Cafe would be like in Paris). The food was exquisite! I had the chowder while my friend had the French Onion Soup (hearing her moan with each spoonful made me wish I had gotten it too – but my soup was good as well). I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on croissant (sorry, I was so excited I forgot to take a pic). It was filling and seasoned perfectly. The dessert was very good too (see pic). But honestly the best part of the experience is the cozy atmosphere. I’m definitely a fan! Oh yes… I’ll be returning very soon.

Good food but the 20% service fee is a turnoff, especially when I asked the waitress about it and she said it’s not actually a tip directly for her. Created kind of an awkward moment at the end of our meal when I felt like I had to leave an additional tip. Please change this policy. Not a good business plan or experience for the customers.

I used to set outside as I liked it better. It’s very crowded inside. The tables are so close. Once I ordered chili but accidentally got French Onion soup. Glad I did, because it was made right and very good. The only thing wrong was the cheese on top needed to be broiled to make it properly done. I will make sure to have more extra time, so I can go here next time with my hubby.

Food is very good but not happy with service. It was like we were invisible. At one point an older woman took our drink order and said she would return upon delivering them. She never returned. After waiting and watching people that had been seated after us receive their orders, a young girl finally realized we had not even ordered. We again then waited for our food. No one ever came back after we received our food. We finally had to request our check. The young gal did apologize for the wait. A rather disappointing experience.

The menu states that tipping is not required due to a mandatory 20% service fee. My waitress became visibly upset when I declined to tip over the amount already added to my bill and stated that the service fee wasn’t a tip and that “this is how they do it in Europe” (it’s not).

I think I would have liked it better if I sat outside. Felt very crowded inside. Tables are too close. I ordered chili but accidentally got French Onion soup. Really glad I did, because it was made right and very good. Only thing wrong was the cheese on top needed to be broiled to make it properly done. Quiche was ok and could have been better if my crust was firm. Highly suggest investing in an air fryer and stop microwaving. Ruins the crust. Doesn’t give a crust on the cheese. Only broiler can. Server was very very nice. I stopped in when going to kidney Dr. She loves this place too. I will definitely make sure to have more extra time, so I can go here next time I go to my Dr. This is definitely a hidden gem.

Could care less about quality of service. Disorganized with their reservations and false accommodations for dietary restrictions. When bringing up concerns with management, they didn’t take any ownership, blamed staffing shortages, and did nothing to make it right. Take your money elsewhere.
