We had lunch a Le Pavillon as part of my son’s 21st birthday celebration trip to NYC. Le Pavillon was our first stop and it lived up to the hype. We had an 11:45 a.m. reservation and were the first table. Looking through the empty restaurant was an unexpected treat. The restaurant quickly filled up. The bread service was delicious and I felt like a kid when my parents warned me not to eat too much bread or I wouldn’t eat my food.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure to celebrate our birthdays at Le Pavillon. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance exuded elegance, sophistication; yet social and inviting. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, guiding us through a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that danced on our palate. While the portions were modest, they left a lasting impression. The attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients were evident in every bite. It was a gastronomic adventure that exceeded our expectations and left me craving for more. The only critique I offer is this: the liveliness of the room made it difficult to hear the introduction of dishes, I wished some of our servers confirmed we understood the putting together of the dishes.I highly recommend Le Pavillon, thank you

This is one the of finest dining experience I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable filled with light and greenery. The service team was outstanding, we had several servers and each one was kind, personable and enthusiastic about our experience. The food. Oh the food. Beyond exceptional. I can’t wait to return… from the delicious bread and butter – the wine, and every single bite through to dessert. Outstanding.

My wife and I flew into New York to celebrate a special anniversary trip. We selected eating at Le Pavillion as the highlight of our trip, placing high expectations on our evening. Neither of us had ever eaten at a fine dining restaurant like this before, and we selected this location partially due to the positive Google reviews that I had read myself.

Had dinner here. This is at the corner of 42nd street and Vanderbilt. Separate entrance from one Vanderbilt. They have a prefix menu for $135 per person, three courses. Appetizer, main course and dessert. They also have a tasting menu which we looked at and decided better to just choose 6 items as the tasting menu is 6 items chosen by the chef. The price for the regular tasting menu is $209 per person. There is also a vegetarian tasting menu for $155. I can see how this is good for a single person wanting to taste more things in one sitting. But if you are more than one person then doesn’t make much sense. We had two of the non alcoholic drinks which was great. They gave us a tiny starter for free, was pretty good. Didn’t hear what it was but had some strawberry in it. The free bread with butter was good, but not overwhelming. We had the pasta with caviar which for some reason they updated. Doesn’t look anything like the old version as it is now with a corse noodle. The waiter mention it is more citrusy. Also got the shrimp dish which had octopus and lamb over some rice? Not sure what it was but the shrimp was cooked perfectly and was super soft. The dish tasted amazing. We got the rib eye and lobster. The lobster tail was slightly over cooked. A little in the tough side. Had some really good tiny potatoes and three different sauces. The rib eye was great. Didn’t need the sauce they put on it. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, so good. And also the mango dessert, it came on some curved waffer. The bottom was frozen mangos and topped with some whipped cream and chopped mangos. Amazing flavor. Finished it. The decor is amazing. Lots of vegetation. When you come up from the ground level, they have the bar at the top of the stairs. Lots of people there. Then you are led to your seat through some vegetation. Very cool. Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our 26th anniversary after enjoying Daniel 2 years ago. Here, we opted for the 6 course tasting menu as a special celebration. We had cocktails (a champagne/orange one and my husband has a rum-based one) and then a glass of riesling with dinner.

Le Pavilon is a French fine dining restaurant located next to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Its high ceiling, large glass chandelier, plants and modern decor calms your spirit and sets the mood for an elegant evening of dining.

It was a wonderful meal through the 3 courses, befitting a celebration. The foie gras was silken and luxurious. The butter poached lobster was my favorite part of evening. The compressed pineapple dessert, while good, was not as successful as the other dishes. I would have preferred less pineapple and more ice cream. The celery cucumber beverage was summery, light but definitely vegetal. I think it would be nice to have a bit of fizz in it. Overall a memorable meal.

Simply a terrific night. Youssafa, (I hope I’m spelling that correctly) our server, was wonderful. Made recommendations that were completely on point. I was especially impressed by his wine recommendation for me. I’m can’t drink red, but was having the ribeye. He recommended a Reisling. Which I’d never have chosen. It was perfect.

Went for lunch. U can choose 2 or 3 course. Appetizers and desserts were great! But for me main dishes were bit weak(maybe expected too much..?)
