I make it up to the Bay for work every now and then, and had seen Le Fantastique on Esquire’s Best New Restaurant list, as well as Eater and SF’s Michelin Guide, so had to try it out. Let me tell ya… it lived up to the HYPE. I’m a serial diner, but I want my nights out with my partner/friends to count… this hit all the marks. Truly remarkable food with insane technique (I see you, Chef Robbie!), but in a relaxed environment with good music and spectacular wine. Dining in SF (especially the city proper) has really been hit or miss for me the past few years, but Le Fantastique is 10/10. Cannot wait to head up there soon for another visit.

I don’t want to say much about this place because it is almost like a spoiler alert. Just go there and experience the full dining experience. And order the chicken breast! Other than that, let your heart decide what you want to try. The service is top notched and the atmosphere is cool. I recommend setting in the lounge for a more private experience. Yes this place is expensive but I am willing to come here again and bring friends 🙂

Le Fantastique was the best restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time! The food is so incredible, unique, and beautifully presented. I’ve never had such delicious sashimi, ever! They fly it in from Tokyo! Plus the bread is out of this world. It has such a great vibe too. I’ll definitely come back!

I had an amazing time at Le Fantastique this evening! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and fun, and the service was incredible! I highly recommend trying the chef’s menu- my friend and I left incredibly full and happy. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Super fun dining experience (shoutout to our whimsical waiter Lauren) and in a quiet ambiance. Menu was light in flavors with a great selection of various crudos. The sea bream and scallops were our favorites, super tender and clean when paired with sauces. The Hokkaido milk bread was fluffy and served warm with a savory lobster butter. Ebi was average, panko crusted and not juicy, protein was a bit overcooked. The portions are quite small and definitely on the pricier side, but for sharing a few small bites with good company in a semi formal environment is perfect.

Service and food were fantastique! Each of the raw menu was unique and hit different flavor notes but the shima aji and trout were exceptional. Warm dishes and wine recommendations were great as well. I wouldn’t recommend if you are price conscious or extra hungry.

Thoughtful dishes, great service. Yuzu kosho butter for the bread, the pavlova, the raw fish dishes, and warm veggie dishes were all fantastic.

The food was delicious and the service was fantastic, all for a fair price! The milk bread with pepper yuzu butter was one of our favorites, alongside the hirame and shima aji sashimi. Had the green room lounge to ourselves too – great place to sip some wine. Will be back to try more of the menu!
