This is my first time dining at a Michelin Star restaurant. We are a party of 9. The service was top notch as you would expect. I feel uneasy at first because the server keeps pulling the chair for me when I leave. Food was 5 stars. The Dover Sole was perfect! The scallops top notch. 10/10. Hope to go back someday

Throwback to one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life, definitely deserves its 3-Michelin stars! The seafood was so fresh with unique flavors and wonderfully presented. Their desserts were surprisingly amazing (The pistachio was crazy good)!

Our first time at the renowned Le Bernadin and it lived up to its reputation. First of all, incredible service! There was a small army of servers constantly taking care of us. The ambiance was very nice without it feeling stuffy. It was comfortable, but definitely dress up (jackets for guys). The food was very, very good. And unlike typical French food, it was actually plentiful. We were very full by the time we ended. Highly recommend this experience at least once in your lifetime!

My recent dining experience at Le Bernardin Privé was a mix of anticipation and disappointment, marked by a poignant farewell with my family. As we gathered for a final meal before their departure from the United States, we had high hopes for an exceptional evening at this renowned three Michelin-starred establishment.

As a party of 4, we made sure to order a variety of dishes to try. We got the 4-course dinner. The uni dishes were delicious, though the flavour does stick in your mouth for a while. The octopus in the surf-and-turf was perfect and left us wanting more. The kampachi was also a favourite.

The best restaurant in NYC. The competition is for second place. Perfect restaurant!

The food was indeed incredible. However, i did not like the service at all. They did not seem friendly and sometimes they would make me feel uncomfortable. My friend asked for the wine pairing and the sommelier would just come and say the name/year of the wine and leave, and she seemed quite annoyed when he asked some questions about the wine she was pouring.

Well, that was weird. That’s how I would sum up our experience with Le Bernardin over 8 courses. I went for dinner with a friend. I have spent 20 years in NYC and this restaurant was on my bucket list. Big fan of Bourdain’s. I read Kitchen Confidential 2X and Cook’s Tour. I watched his show and the documentary. The relationship he had with chef Rric Ripert was profound. So, we arrived last night full of wonder and excitement.

I snatched a res for 5pm on a Saturday. Craziness, I know but my mom was in town and I wanted to show her only the best. I think food wise, the meal was the perfect amount. Not too heavy, not too light but just right. I think if you have a bigger appetite you will be hungry.

I was obviously well aware of Le Bernardin. As being one of the best restaurants in the world, it was always a bucket list wish to dine there. I was always intimidated by the restaurant, that I was not up to the challenge of appreciating the quality of the craftmanship. The day before I had a few dogs from Greys Papaya for lunch and Burger Joint for dinner. Both were still fantastic food options and highly recommended. Today was different. I knew I would be passing by after a meeting and decided to see if I could just walk in for lunch…It was a Monday. I slowly walked by and saw a seat open in the lounge. Do I dare walk in without a reso…As I enter the doors I was warmly greeted by a team of well polished, very friendly hosts. I asked if there any openings in the lounge and without hesitation the host whisked me to the lounge with an option of a table or bar seating. Do I dare eat at the bar, after all bar is my favorite place to eat. As I sat down I was greeted by the bartender. I knew right away I was in for a treat. I am not sure if I was just excited, but there was an ambiance that took over as some how I made it to the top of the mountain. Had to start with a Manhatten, perfect drink to start the day with. Menu was extraordinaire. Even though the prices were nose bleed expensive, it was a special occasion. I decided to have a few “snacks”. Lounge has a separate menu for ala cart items or three course City Harvest menu. I opted for alacarte. I won’t go into the details of what I had, but it was on another level. I thought to myself what am I doing here…is this real. After a few more masterfully made cocktails and several lounge menu items I knew I was in heaven and best part is when the Chef walked through the dining room I was impressed to see such a high profile guy working a lunch shift on a Monday. Most chefs at his level haven’t cooked in years, maybe that is why they stay at the top. I’ll leave it at this, food was fantastic, service was outstanding and the best part is that even on a Monday I was able to walk in off the street, feel welcomed beyond all belief and had one of the greatest meals of my life. It’s not just food you are eating. It is an experience that you may only have once in your life and a dinner can be a paycheck to someone, but my recommendation is to try if for yourself. You don’t need to go for full chef tasting. Start with the Tuna and a drink, don’t feel that the restaurant is a mountain that you’ll never climb as I found out it is a far more welcoming experience as a guy walking off the street than I’d ever imagine. Cheers
