I had a wonderful experience here. I hadn’t eaten all day and passed by this place while visiting Marietta. I passed this placed, saw a family going in and decided to stop. I’m glad I did. The cashier was very nice and seemed very anxious to answer any menu questions. I ordered the sticky ribs basted in sweet sauce, smoked sausage, Mac and cheese, and fries. I sat at my table and the cashier brought me my food which was hot. The ribs were excellent and were just what I needed after a very trying day. They were actually some of the best I ever had. You can’t ask for a better atmosphere.. lots of space, and they played soft rock and pop from the 1970s/1980s which was very soothing while I ate. The music was turned just at the right volume level. The dining area is beautiful and I think I saw a fireplace outside where outdoor dining is available. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves barbecue. The available sauces on the table were great, and I loved the metal trays they serve your meal on. Don’t miss out on good barbecue!

Very pleased with my dinner. I got rib tips, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and banana pudding. Mac n cheese was the star of the meal. Banana pudding didn’t taste homemade but will satisfy your cravings until you can get the real thing. I was sad they were sold out of chicken livers and catfish but it was late in the evening and just gives me another reason to go back.

-update- Food has always been perfect except my last trip. They burnt up the mac-n-cheese balls. Asked for replacements and they came out worse with a side of attitude. I’ve had them served a bit dark but these are charred and smelled charred also. I just left them on the table and went home. No use arguing. I could tell my input was not valued.

I don’t know about y’all but, when I have a craving or desire for a specific type of food and I get it and it’s bad, I’m not satisfied until I get the taste I’m after. Anyways, Friday night at the other joint was disappointing. On Sunday, we just happened to be in Powder Springs and hubby was like, I wonder if there are any BBQ spots around here. So he googled nearest BBQ spots and this place popped up. We shrugged like Atlas and headed on over there. This spot is at the end of a two story plaza. I usually like to see smoke and a crowd a BBQ spots but oh well. Plus, it was early Sunday afternoon. There was one family dining inside. We ordered and seated ourselves and I couldn’t help but notice how clean it was. The young lady serving us was very nice. I asked if the mac n cheese was any good and she said it was. I told her I was going off her word and we ordered brisket platters with Mac, fried okra and slaw. My daughter had grilled cheese cause…children don’t understand how important BBQ is. I also got a side of chicken livers. When I tell y’all the food was AMAZING! OMG! I was shocked in a good way. The mac n cheese was soooo good. The brisket was tender – it could have used a bit more of smoke flavor, but it was still good. I was impressed because hubby is a real pit master who smokes brisket for 14 hours or more. When you’ve had a good brisket, it’s hard to settle. The chicken livers were very good as well. They give you a basket of various sauces for the meat and even hand sanitizer. This place redeemed my Friday night experience. I would definitely visit again.

We have been coming here from the start. We took some time off and everything that is good has gone from there. Especially the quality control. My first bite of collards there was a bone in them then multiple to follow and they just taste like salt. The Brunswick stew is awful. The beans taste like they dumped a gallon of liquid smoke in them. The sauces are all different. My BIGGEST PROBLEM. The brisket has absolutely no flavor and I can guarantee was not not smoked. I could make something in my oven with more BBQ taste.

I come her often but didn’t know. A little over a month ago The BBQ Place started new management. I didn’t know until speaking with the new owner while eating. Understand that your sauce is served on the side. Which takes away nothing from the deliciousness of the meat. The sides was great. This was my family’s meal. We loved it all!! Our lady at the register was great and the fellas in the back definitely doing their thang!

The young woman who took our order was more than pleasant. She was quick to not only answer any questions I had (being my first time there) but multitasking with other assisting tasks that didn’t interrupt her and my conversation at all. She was knowledgeable on the specialty items that day (which I did end up ordering). The sticky ribs and Mac and Cheese Balls. The way she explained how the Stixky Ribs were made was my selling point, so I had to try them and it was worth it. Food came out hot, relatively fast, and exactly how they where explained. You know how you see a puc of something, you order it, and it is NOTHING like the photo? Yeah not this, exactly how I pictured it in my head.

Pork has a really good taste, their sauces are not like I normally eat so had to settle for the mustard sauce. Several sauces to choose from for the adventurous folks. Brunswick stew was watery with only meat left, but it was busy when we were there. BBQ beans were liked by my wife as the best side.

Good food! Only thing is I wished the sides were a tad bigger.
