First and foremost, the service is impeccable with the waiters being very attentive. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The food is by far the best Indian food I have ever had here in CT, second to none. I would highly recommend taking the drive and having some of the best Indian food outside of India. Lazeez is the best place around New Haven for Indian cuisine in my opinion. The staff are good people, and every one of the numerous times I’ve ordered takeout or dined in has been a good experience. I love Lazeez – in my experience they serve the best Indian food in New Haven and I’ve dined at many Indian restaurants. Mohammed has literally built Lazeez with his own 2 hands and the result is a cozy, elegant space. The menu has all the greatest Indian hits with some nice surprises. The service is perfect – there when you need it, discretely away when you don’t. I usually get the chili crab and jhinga Manchurian but also ordered the chickpea salad and wings this past weekend. Spiced to your preference. So enjoyable. Need to work through the entire menu but find it impossible to not have the chili crab, one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Nice wine and beer selection, and for those who follow price closely, very affordable. Lazeez is great for families, couples and singles. May Lazeez survive and thrive in the robust New Haven restaurant scene!!
